Princess Charlotte beams on her first day of pre-school

Princess Charlotte has started nursery school, with her mother Catherine the Duchess of Cambridge photographing her on Kensington Palace steps as she headed off to school on a freezing London winter’s day.

The little princess, who is still four months from her third birthday, will attend Willcocks Nursery School full-time, just a ten-minute walk from Kensington Palace.

Dressed in a red coat and pink scarf, two-year-old Princess Charlotte beamed in her photos as she prepared to leave home.

The palace released the two official images of Princess Charlotte earlier this morning.

They were taken by Kate before Charlotte attended the London school on Monday local time.
