One of your favourite sitcoms could be returning

One of your favourite sitcoms could be returning after 18 years, with the television program’s iconic star teasing a reboot of the hilarious TV show.

Fran Drescher, the actress and producer behind The Nanny, has teased a return to the screen in an interview with Closer Weekly in the US.

“As far as a reboot goes, I would be open to it if somebody wanted to do it — but if nobody wants to do it, then I'm currently trying to develop something else," the 60-year-old said.

Drescher confirmed she is still in touch with castmates.

"I am in touch definitely,” she said of former colleagues.

“Renée Taylor (Sylvia Fine) is a good friend of mine, Charlie [Shaughnessy] (Maxwell Sheffield) is a good friend of mine. Recently I reconnected with Nicholle Tom (Maggie Sheffield), and periodically I speak to everyone, but I'm very good friends with Charlie and Renée, for sure,” she said.
