Steven Cleary approached officers from his car carrying a baseball bat.
After the teenager reached for Ringin's weapon, Cleary began attacking Baldham with a bat.
Ringin intervened, wrestling the bat from Cleary.
Cleary was eventually tasered and pepper sprayed.
Baldham was left with severe injuries following the attack.
