Can you spot the deadly snake camouflaged in this greenery?

Can you spot the deadly snake camouflaged in this greenery?

Can you spot the deadly snake perfectly camouflaged amongst this lush greenery?

The photo was taken by Mark “The Snake Hunter" Pelley near Hazel Glen College in Melbourne last week.

Posting the picture to Facebook, the professional snake catcher asked his followers if they could not only spot the snake but identify what species it was.

Can you see it?

While this greenery shows off the healthy effects of the rain Victoria has been receiving recently, it also hides a deadly secret with a venomous snake lurking among the clovers

Mr Pelley told Yahoo 7 that he shared the image to raise awareness to parents and their children in the area to highlight how easy it is to overlook areas snakes can hide.

“This is a still picture with a high resolution camera and even then you struggle to see it,” he said.

“There's a school right there, that's why I just wanted to bring it to the parents' attention.”

Here’s where the snake was lurking. And the serpent is a highly venomous lowland copperhead snake.

Many people were perplexed trying to find the snake among the grass, with eagle-eyed social media users able to glimpse the reptile in the top centre of the frame

Lowland copperhead snakes grow to around one metre in length and are found in a range of colours from black to dull red.

The species is commonly found in cold climates from Victoria through to Tasmania.
