Watermelon and cucumber sangria

With any luck, the weather should be warming up soon. Look forward to the warm days ahead with this delicious watermelon and cucumber sangria.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 lime, thinly sliced
  • 12 mint leaves
  • ½ cup of lime juice
  • 1 lime, sliced
  • ¼ cup of honey
  • 1L bottle of soda water
  • 750mL chilled bottle of sauvignon blanc (or any semi-dry white)
  • 2 cups of watermelon chunks

Method:

  1. Juice your watermelon using a juicer or, lacking one, blend watermelon chunks in a blender. Strain blended fruit for thinner consistency.
  2. Combine juice, cucumber, lime limes, and mint in a large pitcher.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix lime juice and honey, then pour atop pitcher mixture.
  4. Add wine.
  5. Cover and let chill for a few hours.
  6. Upon serving, add in soda water. Pour into glasses and garnish with lime, mint, watermelon, or cucumber.
