Mick Jagger is engaged!

After more than a decade together, Mick Jagger and Melanie Hamrick have delighted fans by confirming their long-speculated engagement! The former ballerina and author, 37, shared the joyful news in an interview with Paris Match.

Hamrick, who shares eight-year-old son Deveraux Octavian Basil Jagger with the Rolling Stones frontman, revealed that the couple has actually been engaged for some time. "We've been engaged two or three years," she said with a smile.

As for whether wedding bells are in their future, the pair is happily savouring the moment. "Maybe one day we'll marry, maybe not," Hamrick mused. "We are so happy in our current life that I would be too afraid to change anything."

Their love story began back in 2014, when they met at a Rolling Stones concert. Over the years, they’ve faced public scrutiny over their 44-year age difference, but Hamrick has remained unfazed. "I don't think about it," she told The Times last year. "Everyone's going to have their opinion... If you think about others' opinions, no matter where you are in life, you're going to have a problem."

Confident in their relationship, Hamrick simply adds: "Am I happy? Yes. Are the people in my life happy? Yes. Am I hurting anyone? No. Okay, they can mind their own business."

Their romance has charmed fans worldwide, with previous sightings of a sparkling ring sparking engagement rumours. At the time, Hamrick referred to it as a "promise ring", but now the promise is official.

Jagger, a proud father of eight, has embraced fatherhood later in life with humour and honesty. "You get a bit out of practice – it's not like riding a bike," he once told The Guardian. He described parenting as "fun", though he admitted that his busy schedule sometimes makes it harder to enjoy every moment.

Now, with their engagement confirmed, it’s clear that Jagger and Hamrick are dancing through life together, hand in hand — no matter what the future holds.
