107-year-old Aldred Powell is Australia’s oldest man

While no honour has been officially bestowed at this stage, great-great-grandad and all-around nice bloke Aldred Powell is now considered to be the oldest man in Australia.
The 107-year-old Tamworth resident has been recognised as the longest-living resident in Tamworth for a few years now, but after the sad passing of 110-year-old Alfred Date on the Central Coast a couple of weeks ago he’s now taken out top spot.
Powell is well-like resident at Tamworth Bupa’s aged care centre and is reportedly still chirpy, chatty and quite cheeky. Powel is also the proud father of longtime Lifeline coordinator Judith Archbold.

Powel has a long career with a media publishing and distribution company after originally leaving school to become a messenger boy at the young age of 14.
Over the years Powell has told Tamworth's local newspaper The Leader that if he knew the secret to longevity, he would have bottled it and become a millionaire.
Congratulations Aldred! Not everybody gets to makes it to 107, so you should be proud of your incredible achievement.
Please leave any messages of congratulations in the comments below.
