Grant Hackett still in hiding after being reported missing

Grant Hackett’s father has told media outside his home that Grant is in “sober and safe” condition.
The news comes a day after Grant’s arrest at his parents’ home for being verbally abusive and agitated.
After Grant was released without charge yesterday, the family later reported the Olympic champion missing on Thursday afternoon.
Grant’s father, Nev, has told media that the family had grown closer during this time and that they are only concerned with Grant’s wellbeing.
"He's sober. They haven't told us where he is. It doesn't matter. As long as he's alive. He can look after himself," Nev said.
Flags were raised on Thursday morning when Grant posted a photo of him on Instagram beaten up, insinuating that his brother Craig had done it. Nev Hackett has said there is more to the story of the Instagram picture than is being told by media but could not comment further.
Swimming Australia CEO Mark Anderson said the organisation had contacted the family to see if they needed assistance during this time.
"Our primary concern is his health and well-being and personal welfare. Grant is a legend of Australian sport and an important part of the Australian swimming family," he said in a statement.
