Hugh Jackman reveals shock skin cancer treatment

Hugh Jackman has had another skin cancer removed from his face, the sixth time the Hollywood actor has been treated for the disease in recent years.

The 48-year-old X-Men star took to social media to show fans the aftermath of the treatment, and praise his doctors for their handiwork.

Jackman wrote, “Another basal cell carcinoma. Thanks to frequent checks & amazing doctors, all's well. Looks worse w the dressing on than off!”

This is the sixth time Jackman has been treated for the disease in recent years. Jackman first discovered cancerous cells in November 2013 after his wife Deborra-Lee Furness suggested he get a mole on his nose looked at.

Jackman signed off, writing in all caps: “Wear sunscreen.”

Hugh’s one of our favourites at Over60, so we hope he’s feeling better. And if nothing else it’s another reminder to always slip, slop and slap (not that we needed one).
