What Jane Banks from “Mary Poppins” looks like today

It has been 52-years since the world was introduced to the timeless class Mary Poppins and Julie Andrew's legendary performance as the warm and charismatic nanny.

Not to be forgotten though, are those lucky children that Mary took under her care. Eight-year-old Karen Dotrice appeared as Jane Banks, alongside Matthew Garber who played Michael Banks.

And boy, has she taken a sip from the fountain of youth! Take a look at 60-year-old Karen today.

After Mary Poppins, Karen appeared in a string of films, including The Gnome-Mobile (1967) and The Thirty-Nine Steps (1978), as well as on television programs like Upstairs, Downstairs.

Eventually, she left life on the screen behind to raise a family, but not without making her mark. Both Karen and Michael were named Disney Legends in 2004, a designation that honours people who have contributed to Disney's "rich heritage."

Unfortunately, Michael passed away at the early age of 21 after contracting hepatitis during a trip to India in 1976.
