New Elvis album to be released this month

New Elvis album to be released this month

A brand new Elvis Presley album is set to hit stores in October, with Britain’s Royal Philharmonic Orchestra providing backing for the King of Rock and Roll.

The album, If I Can Dream, represents a 15-month labour of love from Priscilla Presley and producers Don Reedman and Nick Patrick. Priscilla believes Elvis would’ve loved the finished product.

“I am emotional because I watched him singing each one of these songs,” said Priscilla “I visualise everything that he’s doing: his facial expressions, the point where he gets the chills or when he’s really feeling it. I’m reliving all that. Elvis loved bigness.”

If I Can Dream features 14 tracks, mixing some of The King’s greatest hits with lesser-known songs that would lend themselves to an orchestral arrangement. Songs spanning Elvis’ entire career have been cherry-picked for the album, from his early days in the 1950s to his death in 1977.

Also featuring a reformulated duet of “Fever” with Canadian crooner Michael Buble, other tracks on the album include “You've Lost That Loving Feeling”, “Bridge Over Troubled Water”, “Now or Never” and “Can't Help Falling In Love”.
