Dr Chris Brown and Amanda Keller will be reunited on screen for the first time in two years. Keller confirmed on her WSFM breakfast show that she will reunite with Brown for his new series Once in a Lifetime, and will be travelling across the globe to film the show. “It’s a show called Once in a Lifetime, and Chris Brown is hosting this," she told listeners on Tuesday morning. “And this is a show I know that he’s wanted to do for years … I do know which country I’m going to, but I’m not allowed to say. It’s in Africa. “It’s Chris’s show. He and I are hanging out, and I’m going to be having experiences. “My nature is to over-research things and there’s nothing I can do. I can’t do that. So it’s a TV show where I can go into it floating, I can get on a plane and not have to be anxious about having to prepare something. “It’s a real gift for me, so I’m excited. But I have arranged for people to come in and play with you while I’m away.” Once in a Lifetime will air on Channel 7, and was announced last year. It is an animal adventure series starring Brown, where he will be "pushed to his limits in the pursuit of the ultimate animal encounter," according to a Channel 7 spokesperson. “But he will not be travelling to the furthest corners of the globe alone. In the most delicious twist, Chris will be taking the country’s most intriguing and entertaining personalities along … as his veterinary assistant," they added. The new season of Dancing With The Stars premiered on Sunday night with Chris Brown presenting alongside longtime host Sonia Kruger for the very first time. The former Bondi Vet star left Channel 10 to join Seven a year ago, and while things reportedly ended amicably between them, he couldn't help but take a dig at his former employer on Dancing With The Stars. At the beginning of the episode, Sonia explained that all contestants were safe and “no one’s going home tonight”. Chris feigned relief that he was also "safe" and couldn't be fired on the first night of his new gig, to which Sonia quipped that only the dancers could be voted off and that she and Chris were "as safe as anyone can be in entertainment”. “Shout out to Channel 10,” he quickly remarked, eliciting laughter from the audience. The comment could be in reference to Channel 10 axing a handful of shows over the past few months, leaving several high-profile TV personalities out of work. Yahoo Lifestyle reported that the reboot of Gladiators had been cancelled after one season, and the network confirmed in May that both The Bachelor and The Masked Singer won't be returning this year. Dream Home host Dr Chris Brown has revealed his own renovation fail on the latest episode of the show. The vet turned TV star has taken on a new role where he guides six teams of aspiring renovators through the joys — and pitfalls — of house remodelling in the new Channel 7 reality show. Speaking to 7NEWS, the star recalled the terrifying moment his home nearly fell in on itself when he was trying to build a garage. “On my first renovation, I decided I needed a garage underneath my house,” he said, adding that he had council approval for the renovation. “With a couple of tradies, we went about digging out the garage underneath the house, in the sand. “We just kept on digging, digging, digging, until a rather large sound indicated the house was about to fall into the hole! “So that’s about as dramatic as it as it gets. “To have your house sort of falling in on itself, that was a pretty big learning curve.” He said that the problem was solved "very quickly" with a lot of underpinning and structural support. “A lot of those steel support posts that you can sort of wind up and down, they went in, and thankfully the house didn’t fold in half,” he said, laughing at the situation. He added that unexpected situations like this are what make renovation shows so appealing as "there’s so much natural drama, you don’t have to fake anything." “Choices have to be made, and it’s either the right way or the wrong way, and you only really discover that as you go along," he added. “Sometimes it’s too late to turn back once you realise you’ve made a terrible mistake.” Chris added that his role on the show is almost as a"coach" to the pairs, supporting them through the renovation challenges, and helping them get to the finish line. “What these couples are going through, and just how much they put on the line to get these renovations done, is quite inspiring and quite uplifting and but also thoroughly entertaining,” he said. Appearing on the morning radio show Triple M’s Mick and MG in the Morning Show, he recalled an embarrassing incident that he would rather forget. “It may not surprise you to learn that I do tend to stand out a little bit on the streets of Tokyo,” he began, to the amusement of radio host Mick Molloy. “Um, six foot five, blond hair, and on the subway especially. “But, I don’t know if you know, in Japan you can buy beers absolutely anywhere — vending machines on the streets, in the subway when you’re just queueing for a train, and so I got involved in this. “I bought a can of Asahi, nice Japanese beer, and was carrying it in my bag, just over my shoulder.” As he got into the crowded train and made his way, the TV vet shared that started to feel a “cold trickle” down his leg. “I realised very quickly that the beer I’d bought had exploded in my bag,” he said. “And I now have a rapidly growing wet patch across my groin, running from my bag to my groin and down my leg, and a highly suspicious amber fluid going across a crowded train carriage,” he continued, making everyone in the studio laugh. “If I couldn’t stand out any more, I found a way.” He added that nobody said a word because Japanese people are so polite, but he did say there was “endless gazing," because they thought he wet himself. “They’re connecting the dots from the trickle along the carriage back up my leg and up to my very wet body,” he added. “Oh wow, oh well I hope you were filming that,” Mick Molloy chuckled. “By the way, that’s how I leave the station every day, on a train, with a wet patch, talking to myself,” he quipped. “Well, I tell you what, if you want to clear some space, it’s a great way to do it, let me tell you,” the TV vet laughed. We’ve all been there before. We’re watering our seemingly healthy houseplant when suddenly there it is: a tinge of brown on the plant’s leaf. Yikes. But what do brown tips on leaves mean for your plant, and what can you do to make them go away? Read on to find out. Lack of water or humidity If your plant is sporting crispy, dark, or brown tips on its leaves, it may mean you need to water more often. Check the soil moisture and slowly reduce the number of days in between watering. Watch your plants for signs of improvement. Lack of humidity could also be the cause. Tropical plants prefer higher humidity levels than we have in our homes. When we turn on the heat in winter, there’s even less moisture in the air. Group plants together so that as one loses moisture through its leaves, the neighbours benefit. Or place plants on saucers or trays filled with pebbles and water. Set a pot on the pebbles above the water. As the water evaporates, it will increase the humidity around the plant, where it is needed. Lack of nutrients A lack of key nutrients may be behind the brown tips on leaves of your plant. Burned-looking leaf tips, or old leaves with dark green or reddish-purplish colouring, may indicate a phosphorus deficiency. With a potassium deficiency, you may see yellow or brown along older leaf tips and edges, yellowing between veins, curling leaves, or spotting. For potted plants, add a slow-release type of fertiliser to the soil mix before planting. Every time you water, a little fertiliser is released, providing a steady flow of nutrients. But depending on the growing conditions and number of plants in the container, a midseason boost may be needed. Stay on top of your fertiliser applications by making notes on a calendar. Dr Chris Brown revealed the moment he got punked by an imposter at last year’s Logies. The beloved celebrity vet told the hosts of Triple M’s Mick & MG in the Morning that the prank left him red-faced and wary of whether he’ll be allowed back onto the event’s red carpet this year, despite being the co-host. “I don’t think I’ll be allowed back onto the red carpet after last year’s Logies,” he said, and joked that he was shocked the incident didn’t get out into the public. They become less seen to do trials and less keen to even see us in camp, which is not a nice feeling,” she said. The attitudes of the hosts paired with the bizarre humour has been a winning combination since the show’s debut in 2015. Morris revealed it was difficult to think about replacing her beloved co-host. “Chris and I, people think they know what this combination is and why it [works], but not even we’re really sure why that frisson is so great. Sunrise viewers are set to see a new face alongside Natalie Barr following the news of Kochie’s <a href="https://www.oversixty.com.au/news/news/the-world-s-best-job-kochie-quits-sunrise" target="_blank" rel="noopener">shock departure</a>. One famous face in particular was <a href="https://www.oversixty.com.au/entertainment/tv/rumoured-replacement-for-kochie-on-sunrise" target="_blank" rel="noopener">rumoured</a> to fill his shoes, but Channel 7 has now confirmed his successor has been appointed, with an announcement to be made on Monday, June 5. Kochie will host his final edition of Sunrise on Friday, June 9. The TV presenter, who holds the title of the longest-serving breakfast host in Australian history, will remain a valued part of the Sunrise team and the Seven Network, covering big financial news as a “guest rather than host”. Kochie was visibly emotional when he shared with viewers that he was stepping away from the “world’s best job”. Sarah Harris opens up about Dr Chris Brown dating rumours

The Project host Sarah Harris has denied allegations she is dating Dr Chris Brown. The 41-year-old, who announced her split from ex-husband Tom Ward in March 2021, was roasted about the rumours on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on May 8. Radio hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O weren’t convinced by the reports so they called up Harris live on air to get some answers. "Oh, my God, you two!” said Harris after picking up the phone, evidently caught off guard. When asked if she was “sleeping with” the Bondi Vet star, 44, the journalist said, “No!” “You know my aunt called and checked as well. No, it's hogwash,” she said, adding that she had “no idea” where the tabloids got their claims from. “I haven't even had my second coffee yet, you two,' Sarah laughed. “I'm too busy and boring [for this].” Brown has remained silent about the rumours. Kyle and Jackie O did attempt to call him on air, but he didn’t answer. The I’m a Celebrity host, who dated TV presenter Roz Kelly in 2012 and actress Kassandra Clementi in 2014, is renowned for keeping his love life out of the public eye. His last relationship was with influencer Brooke Meredith from 2020 to 2022. Pope Francis hospitalised

Pope Francis, 86, was hospitalised in Rome's Gemelli hospital on Wednesday with a respiratory infection that requires him to remain under observation for a few days. "In recent days Pope Francis has complained of some breathing difficulties," Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni said in a statement. The pope was taken to hospital for medical checkup, which then revealed the respiratory infection. Bruni added that tests have shown it was not Covid, but the infection “will require a few days of appropriate hospital medical treatment". “Pope Francis is touched by the many messages received and expresses his gratitude for the closeness and prayer,” Bruni added. The statement comes after the Italian media questioned whether the pope was unexpectedly hospitalised, or if he actually went for a scheduled checkup, as a TV interview scheduled with the pope Wednesday afternoon had been cancelled at the last minute. Earlier that day, the pope appeared to be in good spirits as he greeted the general audience at the Vatican in his popemobile. A Vatican source has also confirmed that the pope’s activities on Thursday were cancelled, and others were likely to follow, in what is his busiest period with Easter Sunday coming up on April 9. Pope Francis has had part of his lungs removed in his early 20s after almost dying when he developed pleurisy, so he is generally more exposed to respiratory problems. He also suffers from diverticulitis, which is a condition that can infect or inflame pouches in the digestive tract, and has had surgery for it in 2021. In January, he said that the condition had returned and did not elaborate further. The pope also has a problem with his knee, which has led him to cancel or limit activities last year and alternates between using a cane and a wheelchair in public. Outrage over Craig McLachlan’s TV return

Christie Whelan Browne has condemned the decision to put Craig McLachlan back in the limelight as part of the 2023 cast for SAS Australia. The series, which has been known to give its cast members ‘redemption arcs’, has faced criticism in the past for highlighting the likes of Wayne Carey and Sam Burgess. And now Browne - who accused McLachlan of sexually assaulting her during their theatre performances run - has taken to Twitter to voice her disgust at his return to television, asking the question, “how do we feel about someone who was charged on multiple sexual assault charges being put back on tv and being referred to simply as a ‘controversial figure’? “I also saw a post saying he was the ‘winner’ of that case. I'm just glad to be on the field doing what I do’.” “As soon as I read the headline I knew exactly what tv show it was that he’d be appearing on,” shared one, a comment alongside dozens on how people were unsurprised at SAS Australia’s move. McLachlan was charged in 2018 when Browne - along with two fellow female cast members - brought forward allegations of indecent assault. McLachlan was the star of their 2014 The Rocky Horror Picture Show production. He denied the allegations against him, and was found not guilty by a magistrate in December 2020 after a criminal trial. McLachlan has not had an acting job since the accusations were brought to light, and the SAS Australia announcement marks his return to television. The 57-year-old was reported by The Daily Telegraph to be flying from Sydney to train with ex-special forces in preparation for his time on the challenging reality series. The 2023 season has been declared to have a gruelling training regime that is set to have its participants “sweating bullets”. The mission statement for the 2023 season says the training regime will have the cast “sweating bullets”. McLachlan will be joined by convicted drug smuggler ‘cocaine Cassie’ Sainsbury, former world boxing champ Anthony Mundine, Thai cave rescue hero Dr Craig Challen, Brownlow medallist Jason Akermanis, model Lindy Klim, and Olympians Stephanie Rice, Peter Bol, and Matthew Mitcham. “All power to him”: Amanda Keller reveals why Chris Brown is jumping ship

After Dr Chris Brown <a href="https://www.oversixty.com.au/news/news/the-doctor-is-out-chris-brown-changes-the-script" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced his departure from Channel Ten</a> to join rival network Channel Seven, his former Living Room co-star spoke candidly about the situation on WSFM’s Jonesy & Amanda, while delivering a dig to the network. Brown’s career move has come after 15 years at Channel Ten, with his time at Seven set to begin on July 1. Chris will still star alongside friend and co-host Julia Morris for 2023’s I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! before departing for the rival network. Chris is only one on a list of notable TV personalities to jump ship from Ten, with fellow The Project hosts Carrie Bickmore, Lisa Wilkinson, and Peter Helliar already having severed ties. It is reported that Chris’ new contract is worth a staggering $1m a year for two years. “Chris Brown has provided Australians with warmth and compassion as the resident vet on Bondi Vet, treating animals large and small,” said a 10 spokesperson. “He has served up a multitude of uplifting, inspiring and hilarious stories with Amanda, Barry and Miguel on The Living Room couch and Chris, along with Julia Morris is contracted to the upcoming season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! which will be back on screens and back in the South African jungle in April.” And now Keller, who co-starred with Brown on Ten’s The Living Room before the award-winning program was “rested” for 2023, said the network’s unwillingness to renew the lifestyle show for this year was a “risk”. In October, Keller had revealed the cast was “sad” to be taking a break from the show, and that it was a network decision to temporarily halt filming. “I said at the time, this is the risk you take as a network. None of us are on contracts, they haven’t rested the show and retained us on contract,” Keller said today on WSFM’s Jonesy & Amanda. “So as Chris said, ‘I’m working one month a year on television’,” Keller said. “In terms of television, he’s doing I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here, which pretty much goes for a month, and then he has 11 months where he’s looking for a TV project.” Keller also gave more details about what Brown will tackle once he moves to Seven. “He’s got ideas for his own programs and Channel 7 have said come and do it over here and all power to him,” Keller said. “Why would Chris not jump somewhere where he’s offered a variety of work for a year?” Chris launched his television career with Channel Seven, starring on Harry’s Practice and putting his skill as a vet to the test in 2003.
