Shock upset: Huda eliminated from MasterChef after just one week

<div> <div class="replay"> <div class="reply_body body linkify"> <div class="reply_body"> <div class="body_text "> <p>In a twist that no one saw coming Huda al Sultan is the first contestant to be eliminated from <em>MasterChef Australia</em>. She’s leaving the show after just one week, following a stressful double Mystery Box cook on Sunday evening.</p> <p>The first Mystery Box had vibrant ingredients including mango, lemon, squid and tamarind with contestants fighting for a spot in the next immunity challenge.</p> <p>Huda was confident in her abilities and decided to go with a lemon ice cream and tarragon crumble dessert before judges Gary Mehigan and George Calombaris suggested that she might be playing things a bit too safe.</p> <p>After hearing this, she decided to switch things up for a savoury chicken pie with caramelised mango.</p> <p>As the judges selected the five most appealing dishes to taste out of 24 dishes, only one cook was able to win this round. MasterChef Australia star Huda reveals: "I married my sister's husband"

<p>She made it through to <em>MasterChef Australia</em>, but life for Saudi Arabian-born Huda was not easy. At the tender age of 16, the now mother-of-three lost her elder sister, Zainab, due to a pregnancy incident.</p> <p>It was only three years ago the 34-year-old found out about the tragic circumstances that led to her sister's passing.</p> <p>“I knew she had a miscarriage, but I didn’t really know anything,” she told <em><a rel="noopener" href="https://www.nowtolove.com.au/reality-tv/masterchef/masterchef-australia-huda-husband-55351" target="_blank">TV WEEK</a>.</em></p> <p>“And I didn’t have the courage to ask my mum about it.
