Kyle Sandilands is one of many rich residents of an affluent Sydney suburb who have been started in a string of high-profile burglaries. Police were called to several houses in Vaucluse in the early hours of Tuesday morning following reports that three men had broken into several properties on the same street. One of those houses belongs to the KIIS FM radio shock jock, who revealed that he was woken up by his personal security after an alarm went off, alerting him to intruders being on the grounds of his property. "Different sounds go off in my house depending on if people are getting onto the property or they're in the house or anything," he explained on air. When he asked what all the fuss was about, he was informed by security that it was the police who had tripped Kyle's alarm, not intruders. "I said: 'What's the go here? Someone's on the property?' They were the police," he continued. "Apparently a lot of people in my street last night were getting robbed." “The guys were on the run, three of them. There were 30 cops on the street with dogs, jumping over fences,” Kyle explained to his co-host Jackie O Henderson. “We’ve got billionaires [on my street], we had the Murdochs, the guy who owns DoorDash or one of those delivery apps.” Kyle went on to explain on-air that he does not believe that the police have caught the men yet, as they didn't manage to enter Kyle's home and fled the area after the other robberies. "Disrespectful and frustrating": Publicists call out Kyle and Jackie O

A group of publicists have called out Kyle and Jackie O's "disrespectful" behaviour on their radio show, while explaining why celebrities keep appearing on their program. The claims against the radio duo were first brought to light in an episode of the <a href="https://omny.fm/shows/game-changers-radio/playlists/podcast" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Game Changers Radio: Melbourne Radio Wars</a> podcast, with the hosts reading out an email they had received from an anonymous publicist who regularly books their "talent" to appear on the popular KIIS FM radio show. “We are feeding the beast as we are giving Kyle and Jackie O access to artists and stars when they do terrible interviews and are always late,” the publicist complained in the email. “I had one TV publicist have to wait 45 minutes with their A-grade talent. They do it to everyone. It’s disrespectful and frustrating.” The publicist went on to explain why they have no choice but to book celebrities on the show, given the huge audience that listens to the show. “From a music point of view, the big dogs say we have to support them for the bigger picture and airplay, but artists don’t want to talk to them,” they wrote in the email. One publicist shared, “They’re a nightmare, always have been." “Normally you get talent for a day or two to do some promo, so you’ve got to micromanage that day within an inch of its life so you can do as many interviews as possible." “But every single time you go to them, they always leave you waiting,” the publicist said. “You will wait an hour (in the green room) and it just stuffs up your morning." “I think it’s a power play for Kyle who thinks, ‘I’m the king of radio and you will all sit back and wait for me until I say you can come in.’” Another publicist called out the recent dip in quality of the show, criticising the "smutty" nature of the radio program, saying, “They’ve lost it.” “I don’t know if they’ve decided to double down on the smut because somebody has said something about it, but they talk to guests for 30 seconds and then they’ve got nothing and so they start asking them if they’ve done an*l. It’s like, really? You haven’t got anything more than this?" “They went through a phase where they were one of the better interviews,” the same publicist said. “When Kyle is on song, nobody is a better broadcaster and he gives a really generous plug. But it just feels like they’ve lost their way a little bit lately." “I think everybody walks away from them now going, ‘that was just weird,’” they said. Despite all the problems encountered with the show, all the publicists said they were still willing to book their talent on the radio show. “Nowadays I’m very selective about which talent I put up for chats,” one said. “I only pick talent who I think can handle it, who are open to being asked about everything, including their sex lives. I find the interviews often run better if you don’t set parameters, because if you tell Kyle that certain topics are off limits, you can be guaranteed he will ask about them on air.” Another added, “I always factor in delays when booking guests on Kyle and Jackie. Kyle Sandilands has warned Aussies against "abusing the system" put in place by new 'right to disconnect' laws. As of August 26th, employees of large companies can legally refuse to respond to "unreasonable" after-hours calls from their employer. Discussing the new laws on KIIS FM on Monday morning, Sandilands warned workers about celebrating the laws too soon, as they could come with a catch depending on the leniency of employers. "It doesn't mean they won't railroad you out behind the scenes," the radio host said. Kyle then argued that while it would be illegal under the new legislation for bosses to punish workers for not responding after hours, some devious managers could find ways around the laws. "Don't think for a second: 'Screw that real estate agent boss'," Kyle said. "Because eventually they will find a way to get rid of you to work around the boundaries." Sandilands then urged Aussies not to "abuse the system", saying, "Everyone you can say, 'oh by law, I don't have to respond to that' and they will then go, 'no worries'." "And then they get you for every little tiny infringement. You will go if they want you to go, one way or another. So, don't abuse the system." Jackie O then chimed in on the debate, saying the laws were a direct response to a modern working problem. "I feel like that might happen," Jackie said. "I think it's sometimes because the thing is that work hours now are infinity. When you didn't have email and mobile phones, you never got bothered outside of work hours." Kyle Sandilands has stunned listeners after candidly revealing his eye-watering salary live on air. Much speculation has swirled about the KIIS FM radio hosts' salaries after Kyle and Jackie O signed a new 10-year contract with the network, which was rumoured to cost $100 million. This figure would mean that Kyle and Jackie O would see an annual salary of $10 million, but Kyle revealed they are actually getting paid more than that. “I can’t live with the lie, it’s underreported," Kyle admitted on Friday morning. Kyle Sandilands has been left reeling after being told, while live on-air, that he has lost his NSW drivers licence. The radio host was told by his KIISFM manager about the unfortunate licence loss, while Sandilands and his co-host Jackie O were discussing speeding fines. After telling Jackie that speeding fines don’t bother him, Kyle was left red-faced when Bruno Bouchet chimed in to say the 53-year-old recently received a new penalty notice. “I don’t have enough points! The feud between Steve Price and Kyle Sandilands has taken a new turn, as Price unleashed on Sandilands over the launch of The Kyle and Jackie O Show in Melbourne. The Project panel were discussing the show's first episode in the Victorian capital which was met with a mixed reception, given the use of coarse language. "What has to happen?" Kyle Sandilands' controversial take after knife attacks

Kyle Sandilands has shared his controversial opinion on arming security guards in the wake of two violent stabbing attacks in Sydney. On Saturday, six people were killed at the hands of Joel Cauchi who went on a stabbing rampage through Bondi Junction Westfield, while on Monday night, a teenage boy stabbed a bishop and a priest during a church service in western Sydney. One of Joel Cauchi's victims was Faraz Tahir, a security guard at the shopping centre, while another guard was injured during the rampage. In the days after the eastern suburbs tragedy, Kyle, who has a <a href="https://oversixty.com.au/health/caring/kyle-sandilands-family-member-among-first-victims-stabbed-in-bondi" target="_blank" rel="noopener">connection</a> to one of the people injured during Cauchi's attack, launched into a tirade live on-air, calling for security guards to be given firearms. "I saw the [NSW] premier [Chris Minns] last night on TV saying firearms for security guards are not on the agenda. And I was like, 'Well, what has to happen before a security guard can actually secure the place for us?'" Sandilands raged. "Every shopping centre and every school should have armed security guards, trained specialists, not just some guy getting a little firearms licence. I mean, proper trained." Most retail security staff in NSW are unarmed, with batons classified as prohibited weapons that require special licensing and training. "There's people that work at Westfield, for example, women that work in shops that have told their husbands, 'I ain't never going back to Westfield. Kyle Sandilands' family member among first victims stabbed in Bondi

Kyle Sandilands became emotional as he described how his wife’s relative Yvonne Wineberg was one of the first women targeted during the terrifying stabbing <a href="https://www.oversixty.com.au/health/caring/family-of-bondi-killer-break-silence" target="_blank" rel="noopener">attack</a> at Westfield Bondi Junction on Saturday. Speaking to co-host Jackie “O” Henderson and newsreader Brooklyn Ross, on The Kyle & Jackie O show Monday morning, Sandilands revealed: “One of the first women to get stabbed in the shoulder was a family member of ours. “She’s a very close family member to my wife. “So, we were watching it on TV, and saw one of our families were involved and carted off to hospital.” He also said that a Bondi lifeguard, who was trapped in Myer during the incident after the store had pulled down their shutters to keep shoppers safe, had asked to be let out so he could help Wineberg. “He could see our family member that got stabbed laying on the ground. There was so much blood. “He said, ‘if I don’t get to her, she’s losing too much blood’, so they let him out, and he rendered assistance before the paramedics arrived.” Sandilands didn't name the lifeguard, but shared the horrors the lifeguard witnessed during the attack. “He said every 50 foot there was another person laying in a pile of blood — all the way down the mall,” the KIIS FM star said. Wineberg was released from hospital on Sunday afternoon. NSW Police identified Joel Cauchi as the killer on Sunday. He was fatally shot just minutes after he left six dead and 12 injured during the terrifying attack at the shopping centre on Saturday night. Cauchi's parents have <a href="https://www.oversixty.com.au/health/caring/family-of-bondi-killer-break-silence" target="_blank" rel="noopener">spoken out</a> and expressed their devastation and disbelief at their son's actions, describing the attack as "truly horrific". In a survey conducted by Lewers Research, 7,000 Aussies were quizzed over their attitudes towards top Australian celebrities, actors, broadcasters, and others. Irwin was named Australia's Top Broadcast Talent, beating out last year's winner, Hamish Blake, as well as Andy Lee, Dr Chris Brown, Ally Langdon and Natalie Barr, to name just a few. Kerr, 30, is preparing to face a four-day trial next February, following the incident that occurred after a night out in Twickenham on January 30, 2023. The football star appeared in a London court on Monday after she was accused of using insulting, threatening or abusive words that caused alarm or distress to the officer. Kerr has maintained her innocence, pleading not guilty to the charges brought against her. Her legal team hope to have the case thrown out when they return to court next month. In response to the controversy, the sport's governing body Football Australia (FA) said that while they were aware of the legal proceedings, they didn't know about the charges laid against Kerr. "As this is an ongoing legal matter, we are unable to provide further comment at this time. Our focus remains on supporting all our players, both on and off the field. Jackie O Henderson has marched out of KIIS FM in the middle of The Kyle and Jackie O show, after finding out that the station has the highest gender pay gap disparity across Australian radio. “Southern Cross Austereo has a disgraceful 5.9% pay gap. At Nova and Smooth FM it is even worse, six per cent." Kyle Sandilands told listeners on Tuesday. "But unfortunately, the number one spot is at KIIS FM, – at the top of the tree with a 12% pay gap disparity.” Sandilands, who famously fought for Henderson to secure equal pay on their radio program, then brought on one of the show’s producers Pete Deppeler and another female KIIS FM producer, who revealed she was only being paid half of what Deppeler was. “Are you freaking joking? Why is Peter getting that much money? I’m so angry about that, it makes my blood boil,” Henderson replied. She then left the studios with all her female colleagues. “We’ve all gone,” she said. "We are just here with the fellas. I don’t know whether I am enjoying this, bring the girls back!” Sandilands told listeners. On Tuesday, the Workplace Gender Equality Agency published the gender pay gap for more than 5,000 Australian companies. This was done after Prime Minister Anthony Albanese ordered the information to be made public for the first time ever, so the data can be compared within and across industries. The new data revealed that the national gap for total remuneration sits at 19 per cent and the median Australian female worker is taking home $18,461 less than their male counterpart. Kyle Sandilands was forced to abandon his daily radio show on Wednesday morning, after a nasty accident prevented him from heading into the studio. KIISFM was forced to play a pre-recorded episode of the Kyle and Jackie O Show, as just moments before he was set to go on air, Sandilands took a tumble down the stairs. Kyle took Thursday off the show as well to recover from his accident, but called in to speak to his co-host Jackie O to share what happened. “I fell from the top of my internal staircase and rolled, rattled and bumped all the way to the bottom, and I was left splayed out like a Christmas dinner,” Sandilands said. “It’s a big marble staircase, very wide and very long, and in some design flaw, the light [switch] is at the bottom, not at the top, it was pitch black and my foot went,” he added. Sandilands said he was home alone at the time, with his wife Tegan Kynaston and their one-year-old son Otto spending the night away. “So the normal routine wasn’t happening, the nanny wasn’t there because the baby wasn’t there, and the lighting situation wasn’t sorted out,” Sandilands said. “I carry everything in [my] hat, my wallet, keys, cigarettes … That all went everywhere, and I was left at the bottom of the floor.” “I was so injured I thought, ‘That’s it for me. This is the beginning of the end.’” While he said he was left “rattled” by the accident, Sandilands went on to confirm he was doing “fine” now, and was hoping to be back on the air for Friday morning’s show. Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O have given away their own tickets to Taylor Swift's Eras Tour, to a mum and her nine-year-old daughter, after the duo got scammed out of $1200. Sam, had attempted to purchase the concert tickets for her young daughter Charlie, but instead of getting tickets she got scammed and was left heartbroken. The radio stars were touched by their story, and immediately jumped into action to make the mother-daughter's day better. “Hi Charlie, Kyle and Jackie O have come to the rescue with free concert tickets. We are going to give you our tickets so you can go see her for free," Kyle told the nine-year-old. In a post shared on Instagram, Charlie was filmed bursting into tears when she realised she would be seeing her idol after all. “I couldn’t have a little sweetheart like you be so excited to see her but then have someone steal the tickets. So, you’re going to go see her,” Kyle added. The mother-daughter duo were filmed hugging each other in happiness. This comes after The Australian Consumer and Competition Commission’s (ACCC) Scamwatch received 273 reports of people being scammed while buying tickets to The Eras Tour via social media. Kyle Sandilands has stormed off his hit KIIS FM radio program after an argument with his co-host Jackie O Henderson over Covid-19. Sandilands stormed off just 11 minutes into the show on Tuesday morning, after bringing up that NSW Premier Chris Minns had cancelled his appearance on their show after testing positive to the virus. The argument sparked when Henderson downplayed the seriousness of the virus and said it was "just like the flu". Sandilands hit back saying that Henderson would probably still isolate if she caught the virus, considering how cautious she was in the past. "I'm allowed to change my opinion," Henderson shot back. Sandilands then argued that she should have some "consistency" in her opinions, before declaring that he was going home and storming out of the studio. "Well that escalated quickly," a stunned Henderson said. Not long after their Executive producer Pedro Vitola confirmed that the radio host had gone home. "What's happening today?" Henderson asked. "I'm telling you this full moon, it messes with people," she added referring to what astrologers call the full moon in Gemini, which they believe is a period when people are a bit more restless and rife with misunderstandings.
