Jamie Oliver opens up on former feud with Gordon Ramsay

<p>Jamie Oliver has opened up about his former feud with Gordon Ramsay on <em>The Louis Theroux Podcast</em>. </p> <p>The 49-year-old told Theroux that after years of exchanges with the <em>Hell's Kitchen</em> star, their wives Jools Oliver and Tana Ramsay were the ones who stepped in an encouraged them to patch things up. </p> <p>"I was a target [for] probably 10 years, I think, it was regular," Oliver said of Ramsay.</p> <p>"I generally used to bite [back] once a year, and then that used to set him off for another year ... I think it kind of generated the noise, it was serving its purpose for him - I mean, I'd have to ask Gordon what it was all about.</p> <p>"Cause we never fell out, we got on for the first couple of years, and then - as he did more TV - it just went on and on and on, and it was quite, it was painful but in the end it was Jools and his wife Tana that sorted it out."</p> <p>Oliver revealed that despite their former feud, his kids are friends with Ramsay's children. </p> <p>"It was like, 'come on dads, grow up' so I think that both of us got a telling off, and then we went to have a drink and put it all to rest and let bygones be bygones," he said.</p> <p>When Oliver's Italian chain went under, Ramsay was "very supportive" and "very kind", even sending him messages of encouragement. </p> <p>Oliver also opened up on his feud with Marco Pierre White, and said he was "destroyed" to hear his "hero" slam him in the press and didn't know what sparked it as they never worked together. </p> <p>"He doesn't like me at all, still doesn't," he said, but added "that's fine, I don't need anything from him".</p> <p>"I still think he was like a game changer, he was still my hero for that period of my life but that's life, and it's not just Marco, it's lots of people," Oliver said.</p> <p><em>Image: Alan Davidson/ Shutterstock Editorial</em></p>

Guy Pearce's secret split with Game of Thrones star

<p>Aussie actor Guy Pearce and Carice van Houten, the mother of his son, have split.</p> <p>The <em>Game of Thrones </em>actress took to Instagram to confirm their split, and that the pair have remained close as they co-parent. </p> <p>“I don’t usually engage in discussions about my personal life, but because of a number of conclusions in the media last week regarding my relationship with Guy, I wanted to make something clear,” she shared on her Instagram story alongside a photo of the pair. </p> <p>“He and I are great friends and love each other very much, but we haven’t been a ‘couple’ for years.</p> <p>“I am, however, very proud to say we are in a wonderful partnership raising the true love of our lives - our beautiful son. And his hamster. The end.”</p> <p>Rumours of their split first began last month, when Pearce revealed during an interview that his first wife Kate Mestitz was the "greatest love of my life" but now that love is for his son.</p> <p>"My ex-wife, Kate, was the greatest love of my life, but I’ve moved on from her now and the greatest love of my life is my child, Monte," he told <em>The Guardian</em>. </p> <p>Pearce and van Houten first started dating in 2015, just months after the actor split from his ex-wife Mestitz. </p> <p>A year later, Pearce and van Houten went on to have a child together named Monte. </p> <p><em>Image: SplashNews.com/ Shutterstock Editorial</em></p> <p> </p>

Michael Clarke receive Cricket Australia's top honour

<p>Michael Clarke will be the 64th player to be inducted into the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame. </p> <p>The champion batter was unveiled as the latest inductee on Thursday, joining other former Test captains who have received the top honour. </p> <p>It's been a decade since Clarke hung up the bat with 8643 Test runs, and 7981 one-day international runs.</p> <p>Clarke who made his first ODI debut as a teen prodigy at Adelaide Oval in 2003, had established himself in the Test side within a year, scoring a memorable debut century against India in Bangalore.</p> <p>In 2011 he was appointed as skipper of the Test team, a position he held until his retirement from professional cricket in 2015. </p> <p>He is among the most decorated players in the 21st century, with two World Cups, the Ashes and several other individual honours. </p> <p>Australian Cricket Hall of Fame chairman Peter King congratulated  the player "who defined his generation."</p> <p>“On behalf of the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame Committee, it is my great pleasure to announce Michael Clarke AO as the first inductee to the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame for the 2024/25 season.</p> <p>“In selecting Michael as one of the three Australian Cricket Hall of Fame inductees for this season, the selection committee was met with statistics of a player who defined his generation and at his peak was ranked the best Test batter in the world.</p> <p>“More than that, Michael was an exceptional leader of our men’s Test and ODI teams who had a sustained period of success under his captaincy.</p> <p>“Michael’s extraordinary first-class playing career started at just 17 at the SCG – the place where many of his highlights occurred, including a Test triple century against India in 2012.</p> <p>“While often lauded for his batting prowess, Michael also excelled with ball in hand having helped Australia secure victory in the 2008 Border-Gavaskar Trophy with a spell of 3 for 5 in 1.5 overs with just seven balls remaining in the match.</p> <p>“Michael’s career will forever be remembered fondly by the Australian public and his standing held alongside those at the upper echelon of our game. On behalf of the selection committee, we congratulate Michael on his very deserved induction into the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame.”</p> <p>Cricket Australia CEO Nick Hockley also praised the cricket champion, saying: “I’m delighted Michael has taken his place in the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame as one of Australia’s best and most prolific batters and as captain of highly successful Test and limited overs teams.</p> <p>“Michael’s elegant stroke play was a feature of Australian teams for over a decade. Ash Barty shares pregnancy update

<p>Ash Barty is expecting her second child with husband Garry Kissick, and while the tennis legend is excited for the future, she has shared some of her concerns with raising two young children.</p> <p>The couple already share son Hayden, 18 months, and are set to have a newborn and a toddler to care for. </p> <p>"It's been probably the best part of my life, being able to share this next chapter with my husband Garry, and we have no idea what we're doing but he's alive and he's happy," she told the <em>Herald Sun</em>.</p> <p>"Terrified for what is going to come next but we'll figure it out, I'm sure," she added. </p> <p>The 28-year-old also said that while it's not in her nature to deal with "chaos" she hopes to make it work. </p> <p>"As an athlete I used to be the most meticulous, organised person and now it's absolute carnage," she said. </p> <blockquote class="instagram-media" style="background: #FFF; Wild claim about Hugh Jackman romance

<p>Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster have confirmed their relationship earlier this month, and as the couple ramp up their public appearances together, it has been reported that prior to getting together, they took their respective spouses on double dates.</p> <p>Jackman and Foster grew closer while starring together in the Broadway musical <em>The Music Man</em> from December 2021 until January 2023.</p> <p>Now, an insider has revealed to the <em>Daily Mail </em>that Jackman and his ex-wife, Deborra-lee Furness, would enjoy date nights together with Foster and her ex-husband, Ted Griffin.</p> <p>The source also said that after every performance of their show the pair would share an "uncomfortably" long embrace in front of everyone. </p> <p>“It was odd,” they continued. “In a way it was uncomfortable. As the entire cast is trying to get to their dressing rooms upstairs, we all had to pass the two of them hugging. They didn’t even hide it! Deborra-Lee Furness reacts to Hugh Jackman's new relationship

<p>After months of speculation that Hugh Jackman and his <em>The Music Man </em>co-star, Sutton Foster, were together, the pair finally went public with their romance last week where they were spotted holding hands after an intimate dinner. </p> <p>Now, a little over a year after  Hugh Jackman and Deborra-lee Furness announced their split, a source close to Furness has revealed her surprising reaction to the news. </p> <p>“Deborra-Lee feels a sense of relief to be honest with you,” the source told <em>Daily Mail</em>.</p> <p>The source added that the 68-year-old had her suspicions and was repeatedly told the pair were just friends. </p> <p>“She has been plagued with suspicions. She was told it wasn’t true, and that they were nothing more than close friends who worked together.</p> <p>“But something in her heart told her that this was not true.</p> <p>“She trusted her intuition and her intuition was right. Jessica Mauboy shares rare glimpse at her pregnancy

<p>Jessica Mauboy has shared a rare look at her pregnancy with a series of behind-the-scenes photos from the ARIA Awards last month. </p> <p>The singer, who performed at the awards show in a glossy black trench coat and leather jumpsuit, shared the photos on Instagram, while fans previously caught a glimpse of her growing baby bump, now she has revealed more of her pregnancy journey. </p> <p>Backstage, Mauboy is pictured cradling her baby bump and even cheekily comparing her belly to another performer’s.</p> <p>The pictures come months after she was spotted wearing oversized clothes while performing. </p> <p>In September the former Voice Australia coach announced that she is set to welcome her first child together with husband Themeli Magripilis next year. </p> <p>Magripilis and Mauboy met when the singer was 18 and out clubbing with friends in her hometown, Darwin. </p> <p>After seven years of long-distance romance, Magripilis moved to Sydney in September 2016 to live with Mauboy, and they often travelled back to Darwin together to visit family. </p> <p>The couple got engaged in 2019, after Magripilis proposed to her but because of the pandemic, their wedding was delayed. </p> <p>The pair married in a small church in in Darwin on July 2022, with the reception at the Mindil Beach Casino Resort.</p> <p>Mauboy previously told <em>Sunrise </em>their wedding was “a long time coming”.</p> <p>“We always spoke about it (getting married) and we would talk about how strong our families are and they get along really well.” </p> <p><em>Images: Instagram</em></p>

Paralympian Dylan Alcott's unexpected career choice

<p>Dylan Alcott has revealed his next career move after retiring from professional wheelchair tennis in 2021. </p> <p>Since his retirement, the 34-year-old Aussie Paralympian has taken on a commentating role and appeared at the 2024 Paris Olympics, but now he has confirmed a new career move that is a big step away from sports. </p> <p>Alcott told <em>Daily Mail Australia </em>that he wants to pursue a career in acting. </p> <p>After taking on his first ever acting role as Marcus in Stan's series <em>Bump</em>, he explained that he wants to get more roles in the film industry.</p> <p>"I'd been on set before as an athlete but not as an actor and I bl**dy loved it, " he told the <em>Daily Mail</em>. </p> <p>"It was a good test to me to see if I loved being on a set every day, and I really did so hopefully I'll have more opportunities soon."</p> <p>Alcott explained that he even took acting lessons and classes, and even hired a coach to make sure he was up to the standard he needed to be. </p> <p>"I didn't want to be that famous guy that just goes 'I can act', I've done lessons and classes and I've got an acting coach," he told the publication. </p> <p>"I tried to do the best that I can and everyone was really accommodating."</p> <p>Alcott, who starred in the fourth season of the show alongside Claudia Karvan and Angus Sampson, recalled how he was able to keep up with his co-stars, despite it being his first time acting. </p> <p>"The biggest challenge was everyone is a really, really good actor and I was like ''what am I doing?'' when I first got there," he recalled. </p> <p>"Then I realised that everyone was so accommodating but I could also hold my own."</p> <p>The Paralympian was fully involved in his role and even created some of his character's jokes, and even does his own stunts. </p> <p>"Often, if you're an able-bodied person writing a disabled character, you're not sure what you can and can't say, but I was like ''no let's push it'' and it was so cool," he said.</p> <p>He added that he was proud to be able to provide positive disability representation on screen, which was something he rarely saw growing up. </p> <p>"[Acting is] something I've wanted to do since I was a kid, I really struggled with disability representation on screen," he shared.</p> <p>"Whenever it was, it was always super negative and sad and not people being themselves. So that's why I started doing acting and when Claudia and Kelsey [Munro] called me with a role, I couldn't believe it!"</p> <p>Alcott will be returning to screens as Marcus in the fifth and final season of <em>Bump</em> on Boxing Day. </p> <p><em>Image: Allison Voight/ Shutterstock Editorial</em></p>

Australia's number one biscuit revealed

<p>Australia's favourite biscuit has been revealed. </p> <p>Arnott's sold more than 300 million packets of biscuits this year, and they have been tracking what has been sold the most. </p> <p>Now they have revealed the 10 most popular biscuits in their range - and it is not surprising that Tim Tam Original was the most popular biscuit in 2024. </p> <p>Despite previous complaint's of the price increase this year, the biscuit is still well-loved by Australians. </p> <p>The popular snack was followed by Barbecue Shapes, Chicken Crimpy Shapes, Pizza Shapes, and Jatz. </p> <p>In the last year, more than 13.4 million packets of Barbecue Shapes and more than 5.5 million gluten free biscuits were bought. </p> <p>While the original Tim Tam's took the number one spot, the double coat Tim Tam also went up in popularity taking the sixth spot, up from the eighth spot in 2023. </p> <p>Salada Original took the seventh spot, followed by Mint Slice, Scotch Finger, and Monte Carlo. </p> <p>“There’s nothing like a fresh bikkie debate to start the week and everyone hoping their favourites will make the top 10," Ranita Cowled, Business Director for Treating at Arnott’s told <em>news.com.au</em>. </p> <p>“Whether it be our iconic bikkies like Monte Carlo and Scotch Finger, or crowd favourites Jatz and Barbecue Shapes, it’s clear Aussies love a mix of classic, sweet, and savoury in 2024.</p> <p>“It’s fitting to see that as we close out the 60th birthday year for Tim Tam that the Original flavour has taken out the coveted #1 spot!”</p> <p><em>Images: Alex Cimbal / Shutterstock.com</em></p>

Nostradamus' 2025 predictions revealed

<p>Nostradamus a 16th-century French Astrologer known as the "prophet of doom" has some wild predictions for the upcoming year. </p> <p>The astrologer has been credited with foretelling the Great Fire of London, Hitler’s rise to power, the September 11 attacks, the Covid-19 pandemic, and last year’s New Year’s Day earthquake. </p> <p>His predictions were published in his book “Les Prophéties” in 1555</p> <p>Last year, the astrologer was credited for predicting the powerful earthquake that rocked Japan on New Year's.</p> <p>A few of his other predictions for 2024 included the abdication of King Charles, war with China, a new pope, and the world getting closer to a climate apocalypse. </p> <p>Now, his predictions for 2025 have been revealed with one of them being the potential end to the Ukraine conflict. </p> <p>He wrote: "Through long war all the army exhausted,so that they do not find money for the soldiers; instead of gold or silver, they will come to coin leather, Gallic brass, and the crescent sign of the Moon."</p> <p>The astrologer predicted that financial ruin and exhausted resources could spell the end of an ongoing armed conflict, which many of his followers assumed is a reference to Russia and Ukraine. </p> <p>However, he wrote that England will be beset by  “cruel wars” and will face an “ancient plague” that will be “worse than enemies.”</p> <p>He also wrote: "Garden of the world near the new city, In the path of the hollow mountains: It will be seized and plunged into the Tub, Forced to drink waters poisoned by sulphur."</p> <p>Some believe the "garden of the world" refers to the Amazon forest, with plunging into a tub and sipping sulphur implying that there will be floods and volcanic activity. </p> <p>While most of his predictions seem bleak, more often than not they miss the mark. </p> <p><em>Image: Shutterstock</em></p> <p> </p>

Young influencer's "sick act" while 80-year-old boyfriend is hospitalised

<p>Social media users have been left horrified by a young influencer's lack of sympathy after she shared a "disturbing" video of herself dancing next to her elderly boyfriend's hospital bed. </p> <p>Bronwin Aurora, 22, filmed herself doing a trending TikTok dance and boasting about being included in her 80-year-old boyfriend's will, dancing around the elderly man who was lying in his hospital bed surrounded by medical equipment. </p> <p>“Guys, I got on the will, should I pull the plug?” she captioned the clip. </p> <p>The video gained nearly half a million views, and while some thought it might be satirical, others expressed their concern and outrage. </p> <p>“Love your care for humanity," one commented sarcastically. </p> <p>“I’m going to cry. I hope he gives everything to his kids," another wrote. </p> <p>“A prelude to an episode of Law and Order,” commented a third. </p> <p>Some even suggested it was "elder abuse", while many called her out for the "sickening" and "outrageous" act calling it "a new low". </p> <p>The 22-year-old appears to have a "sugar daddy" arrangement with the man, who often buys her extravagant gifts, including a $20k Cartier bracelet, among other things. </p> <p>While the influencer did not disclose her boyfriend's medical condition, she has been documenting his health across multiple posts on social media, with the most recent one showing him in a wheelchair. </p> <p>In one video she even told fans that she "loves" him and doesn't shy away from sharing details of her relationship online. </p> <p><em>Images: TikTok</em></p> <p> </p>

102-year-old woman fulfils bucket list dream of visiting Australia

<p>A 102-year-old woman has successfully fulfilled her bucket list dream of visiting all seven continents with the help of two Youtubers. </p> <p>Dorothy Smith, who lives in a retirement home in San Francisco, had travelled all over the world except Australia. </p> <p>When the guys behind the YouTube channel <em>Yes Theory,</em> Staffan Taylor and Ammar Kandil heard about this, they were determined to make her dream come true.</p> <p>The two men, who met her in the retirement village, asked her "‘is there anything on your bucket list you haven’t ticked off yet?’ and she said, ‘I’ve been to six continents but I’ve never been to Australia,’” <em>Yes Theory</em> filmmaker Staffan Taylor explained.</p> <p>The centenarian recalled how she received a note from them. </p> <p>“He gave me this little piece of paper that said something about ‘dreams come true’,” Dorothy told <em>Sunrise </em>on Tuesday.</p> <p>“I showed it to a friend, and they said, ‘look, there is no signature, there is no telephone number, there is no address — it’s fake’,” she added.</p> <p>But it wasn't a scam and with the help of Destination NSW and Qantas, the Youtubers made her dream come true, and shared a clip of her experience online. </p> <p>She chose Sydney as her Aussie destination because of the Opera House, which she is twice the age of. </p> <p>“This is like Disneyland for grown ups,” she joked while visiting the iconic landmark.</p> <p>She also visited visited Wild Life Sydney Zoo to see some koalas and kangaroos, the Botanic Gardens, the Museum of Contemporary Art, and went for a cruise on the harbour. </p> <p><iframe title="YouTube video player" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/38PwG3zGDDI?si=dqhuCIqOoKfokdCq" width="560" height="315" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe></p> <p>She described Aussies as “charming” and complimented the food, scenery and weather. </p> <p>“These two gentlemen have been delightful, and there is a whole crew, and each one is as nice as the other, and they have been around this town very well,” she told <em>Sunrise</em>. </p> <p>“It’s just beautiful — I’ve seen things like the zoo and the real animals.</p> <p>“It is much more metropolitan (than I would have thought), and the people are charming,” she added. </p> <p>The centenarian said it is "never too late" for a new adventure, saying: “You can either rust out or wear out and I’m trying to wear out rather than rust out." </p> <p><em>Yes Theory</em> co-founder Ammar Kandil who went on the trip with Dorothy and her daughter, said he was in awe of the centenarian's curiosity during the trip and had been inspired by her. </p> <p>“One of the cornerstones of the experiences in our videos is actually whenever we go somewhere, we always try to ask the elders and get a lot of the wisdom out of them from their life experiences,” he said.</p> <p>“Staffan (and I) had the opportunity to double down and do a full episode on elders, only to meet the most epic one of all (Dorothy) — it doesn’t get better.</p> <p>“(As soon as we heard) we just went for it, and it was a no-brainer — as soon as she said she hadn’t been to Australia, we thought God bless her soul.</p> <p>“She is so powerful and still moves, and if anyone can go to Australia at 102 years old, it is Dorothy.”</p> <p>“Even at 102 years old she is still appreciating everything she is seeing,” he added. </p> <p><em>Images: Yes Theory/ Youtube</em></p> <p> </p>

Beloved Hollywood couple's move to Sydney

<p>Freddie Prinze Jr and Sarah Michelle Gellar have made a very low-key entry into Australia, after they were spotted at Chin Chin, a restaurant in Sydney's CBD on Saturday night with their two children. </p> <p>The beloved 90s stars have reportedly temporarily relocated to the harbour city as they film the next instalment of the <em>I Know What You Did Last Summe</em>r horror franchise, 27 years after the release of the first movie, according to <em>The Daily Telegraph</em>. </p> <p>The new film, titled I Never Forget What You Did Last Summer, will see Prinze Jr, 48, reprise his role as Ray Bronson.</p> <p>The horror film is expected to be released next year through Sony Pictures. </p> <p>Prinze Jr and Gellar's first date was not intentional, as they had plans for dinner with a mutual friend who then cancelled. </p> <p>“We decided to have dinner anyway and never looked back,” Gellar told <em>People</em> in 2002.</p> <p>They tied the knot in Mexico that same year. </p> <p>“One day, I just knew we were gonna get married and I knew I was gonna propose. I didn’t know when or how,” Prinze Jr told <em>People</em> in 2020.</p> <p>“And so I did and fortunately, she was on the same page. Taser victim's family break silence following verdict

<p>Clare Nowland's daughter, Kerrie Paske, has broken her silence for the first time in 18 months since her 95-year-old mum died after she was tasered by a police officer. </p> <p>On Wednesday, after Senior Constable Kristian White was found <a href="https://o60.me/6lspig" target="_blank" rel="noopener">guilty of the manslaughter</a> of her mother, Kerrie finally opened up about her grief.</p> <p>"What happened to mum shouldn't have happened. She didn't deserve it," she told <em>A Current Affair</em>. </p> <p>Kerrie broke down in tears outside the NSW Supreme Court after the jury handed down its verdict, </p> <p>She recalled the final conversation she had with her mother shortly after the incident. </p> <p>"Right at the end I just told her how much I loved her and thanked her for a beautiful life," she told<em> A Current Affair</em>.</p> <p>"Pretty quickly after that she went."</p> <p>Kerrie is one of Nowland's eight children, and said that the jury's verdict was "good news" for all of them. </p> <p>"We all think we got the best mum, she was a good mum. She was a tough lady," she added. </p> <p>"She didn't deserve that, she really didn't." </p> <p>While Nowland's family maintained their silence since her death, Kerrie revealed that they were worried their mother's memory would be tarnished because she was holding a knife during the confrontation with police. </p> <p>"At the very start of all this court case they were painting a real picture of Mum being a really vicious sort of a lady - or that's how I felt," Kerrie recalled. </p> <p>"That worried me a little bit but she's just not like that."</p> <p>"It's all very well mentioning this knife but she used to get fixated on things. It used to be pens," she explained.</p> <p>"When we first heard (of the confrontation), I thought 'I bet she thought she had a pen in her hand', but she didn't."</p> <p>Nowland is survived by her eight children, 24 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren, with many of them coming from Cooma to sit in the public gallery throughout the trial. </p> <p>Following the guilty verdict, Senior Constable White's employment is "under review", as he was previously suspended with pay throughout the proceedings. </p> <p>"The officer's employment is currently under review. Australia's most decorated Olympian drops huge news

<p>Australia's most decorated Olympian, Emma McKeon has announced her retirement from swimming on Monday. </p> <p>After an incredible career that spanned across three Olympics and yielded 14 Olympic medals, including six golds, the Olympic champion announced her retirement from the pool in a social media post. </p> <p>"Today I am officially retiring from competitive swimming," shared on Instagram.</p> <p>"Leading into Paris, I knew it would be my last Olympics, and the months since have given me time to reflect on my journey, and think about what I wanted my future to look like in swimming."</p> <p>"I am proud of myself for giving my swimming career absolutely everything, both physically and mentally," she continued. </p> <p>"I wanted to see what I was capable of - and I did. Swimming has given me so much. THANKYOU," McKeon said in her post.</p> <p>"Now I am excited to see how I can push myself in other ways, and for all the things that life has in store."</p> <p>Beyond the Olympics, McKeon has been an eight-time world record holder in relay events with three current and five former records. </p> <p>She has also won 14 gold medals across the 2014, 2018 and 2022 Commonwealth Games. </p> <p>Swimming Australia chief executive Rob Woodhouse, who is McKeon's uncle, praised the Olympic champion. </p> <p>"Emma will be remembered in the same vein as Dawn [Fraser], Shane [Gould], Susie [O'Neill] and Murray [Rose], Kieren [Perkins] and Thorpey [Ian Thorpe] — that she was one of our greatest," Woodhouse said in a Swimming Australia statement.</p> <p>"From a personal point of view, watching her Tokyo campaign and in particular watching her win gold in the 100m freestyle was one of the greatest races I have ever watched, but I have also loved watching her advocate for those coming up through the ranks.</p> <p>"She will also be remembered for how she represented swimming. Prince Philip's final phone call to King Charles revealed

<p>Prince Philip was known for his quick wit and sense of humour, and now his family have shared their favourite moments with him in the BBC documentary <em>Prince Philip: The Family Remembers</em>. </p> <p>In the documentary, King Charles revealed the cheeky remarks the Duke made in their final phone call just hours before his passing on April 9, 2021 at the age of 99. </p> <p>Charles recalled discussing the Duke's upcoming 100th birthday celebrations and having to raise his voice so his father could hear him better, saying: “We’re talking about your birthday! And whether there’s going to be a reception!” </p> <p>The Duke quipped: “Well, I’ve got to be alive for it, haven’t I?”</p> <p>King Charles fondly shared what he said to his father's cheeky remark, “I told him ‘I knew you’d say that!'”.</p> <p>In another part of the documentary, the monarch recalled the benefits of having young parents. </p> <p>“He was marvellous at arranging silly games. I mean, the fun of having obviously young parents was… there were lots of chasing around and mad things," he said.</p> <p>Prince William also shared some of his fond memories with his late grandfather, recalling the pranks they used to pull together, and one of them being squirting mustard all over the ceiling - much to the Queen’s annoyance.</p> <p> “He used to take the lid off [the tube] and put it in your hands … and then he’d squish your hands together to fire the mustard onto the ceiling," William said. </p> <p>“He used to get in a lot of trouble from my grandmother,” he added.</p> <p>William’s cousins, Princess Anne’s children Zara Tindall and Peter Phillips, also remembered the same prank. </p> <p>“He gets you to hold it in your hands and I can’t remember exactly what he says — but he ends up slamming your hands together… it goes all over the ceiling,” Zara said.</p> <p>Her brother Peter added: “I actually think the marks are still there.”</p> <p><em>Image: Canadian Press/ Shutterstock Editorial</em></p> <p> </p>
