Reese Witherspoon announces shock family update

<p>Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth have announced their divorce after over a decade of marriage.</p> <p>In a joint statement posted to Witherspoon’s Instagram, they shared that it was “a difficult decision”.</p> <p>“It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce,” Witherspoon said in the statement.</p> <p>“We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness, and mutual respect for everything we have created together.</p> <p>“Our biggest priority is our son and our entire family as we navigate this next chapter. You read more books than anybody I know. <p>Reese Witherspoon has sold her Los Angeles estate, scoring nearly $8 million more than what she purchased it for less than two years ago.</p> <p>Witherspoon and her husband, Jim Toth, picked up the traditional English country-style mansion in the Brentwood area in 2020 for $21.9 million (US$15.89m).</p> <p>The famous couple listed the house up for sale with $35.5 million (US$25m) asking price, with the property now pending sale for $29.7 million (US$21.5m).</p> <p>The newly renovated home measures over 960 sqm, with seven bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. It features custom-designed finishes, woodwork, and an open floor plan.</p> <p>The main level features a living room with French doors, a dining room, a family room with a bar, a wood-panelled office or library, a chef’s kitchen, and a breakfast room.</p> <p>Out back, the 3.1-acre lot includes a blue-tiled pool and spa, a limestone barbecue, an eight-seat bar. Reese Witherspoon's lavish estate up for grabs

<p>Oscar-winning actress, producer and media mogul Reese Witherspoon officially listed her Brentwood estate in LA, tentatively popping it on the market with a $34 million (US$25m) price tag.</p> <p>Thanks to the sizzling market and a bunch of modern updates Witherspoon and husband Jim Toth made to the residence, the pair have added a hefty $12 million (US$9m) to the original $22 million (US$16m) they paid just two years ago.</p> <p>It seems Witherspoon is testing the market, with the listing only providing a small handful of photos. It notes that additional photos, including the property website, are available upon request to "qualified buyers".</p> <p>Located in the wild of Brentwood's Mandeville Canyon, the Country English Traditional mansion sits behind big gates, ancient trees and a long, winding driveway. Reese Witherspoon’s emotional tribute to Lynn Shelton after tragic death

<p>Actress Reese Witherspoon has spoken of her “complete shock” over the sudden death of prolific television director Lynn Shelton.</p> <p>The director and independent filmmaker passed away on Friday in Los Angeles after suffering from a blood disorder, according to a statement from her spokesperson, Adam Kersh. She was 54 years old.</p> <p>Shelton was recently known for directing several episodes of the popular Hulu series<span> </span><em>Little Fires Everywhere</em>, starring Witherspoon. Other popular shows she’s worked on include T<em>he Mindy Project, New Girl, GLOW, Mad Men</em><span> </span>and<span> </span><em>Fresh off the Boat</em>.</p> <p>In a statement to<span> </span><em>IndieWire</em>, Shelton’s romantic partner, comedian and writer Marc Maron said she collapsed on Friday morning after having been ill for a week. <p>Reese Witherspoon is one who likes to keep a lot of her family life private. </p> <p>However, for her eldest son, Deacon’s sweet 16th she posted a beautiful message along with a snap of the two to celebrate. </p> <p>"Happy 16th Birthday to this guy whose bright smile makes every day better!" she wrote.</p> <p>"Kind, compassionate, hysterical, friendly, and talented," Witherspoon continued. "I'm so lucky to have a son like you!"</p> <p>Witherspoon, 43, shares her son Deacon with ex-husband Ryan Philippe, who posted his own message to Deacon on his Instagram story the night before his son’s milestone age. </p> <p>“The edge of sixteen,” it read. </p> <p>The pair also have another child together, 20-year-old Ava who is their eldest. </p> <p>Witherspoon and her now-husband Josh Toth share a son, Tennesse, who recently just celebrated his seventh birthday. </p> <p>Reese has proven to have some seriously strong genes because her three children look so similar to her it is unnerving. </p> <p>Ava also took to Instagram to share a heartwarming post for her younger brother. </p> <p>“Happy happy sweet 16 to my cooler-than-me little brother with a heart of gold! Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s daughters set to make big acting debut

<p>Nicole Kidman has dished on what could become a family tradition. On talk show <em>Ellen</em>, she let slip that her daughters, 10-year-old Sunday Rose and seven-year-old Faith Margaret, are about to make their huge acting debut.</p> <p>But it’s not on the big budget comic book adaptation <em>Aquaman</em> in which the Hollywood star plays the titular superhero’s mother Queen Atlanna. It's on the hugely successful second season of <em>Big Little Lies</em>.</p> <p><span>Season one was based on Liane Moriarty’s best-selling novel of the same name, with the author returning to pen the script for season two.</span></p> <p>Visiting the set, the 51-year-old’s two daughters with her country music star husband Keith Urban, 50, ended up in front of the cameras for a cameo.</p> <p style="text-align: center;"><img style="width: 500px; height: 482.4074074074074px;" src="https://oversixtydev.blob.core.windows.net/media/7821718/nic-and-keith-kids.jpg" alt="" data-udi="umb://media/8939376e08c24990967576e4e9ec9725" /></p> <p>“They were in as extras in <em>Big Little Lies</em>, which I’ve never told anyone,” Kidman told host Ellen DeGeneres, reports <a rel="noopener" href="https://people.com/parents/nicole-kidman-daughters-will-cameo-cameo-big-little-lies-season-2/" target="_blank"><em>People</em></a>. “There I am being a big mouth.”</p> <p>While DeGeneres pushed the high-profile star, who also co-produces the show alongside fellow Hollywood heavyweight and co-star Reese Witherspoon, to reveal some details about the show, Kidman stayed mum.</p> <p>“Who do you worry about? Who has the big mouth?” she asked the Academy Award winner when it came to the leaking of plot secrets for <em>Big Little Lies</em> season 2.</p> <p>When DeGeneres joked it was Witherspoon, her co-star laughed, saying, <span>“No [it’s] probably the two of us that have a bit of a big mouth, so we have to watch it.”</span></p> <p>But DeGeneres wouldn’t let up, jesting that Witherspoon had told her the plot-line for the entire coming season.</p> <p>“I’ve told my husband the entire plot, but you’re allowed to do that,” said Kidman.</p> <p>She did reveal, however, Meryl Streep’s reaction when she was asked to join the second season of <em>Big Little Lies</em> (the acclaimed actress plays Kidman’s mother-in-law).</p> <p><img style="width: 500px; height: 281.25px; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" src="https://oversixtydev.blob.core.windows.net/media/7821719/big-little-lies.jpg" alt="" data-udi="umb://media/1a806671d03f480e8efb865641fc8a59" /></p> <p>"She was like, 'I want to be in the coven,” recalled the Aussie actress. “Which I thought was funny.”</p> <p>Yet Kidman mused that the acclaimed TV series wasn’t what gave her credibility in the eyes of her daughters, but rather being in a big blockbuster like <em>Aquaman</em>.</p> <p><span>Have you watched or read </span><em>Big Little Lies</em><span>? Reese Witherspoon opens up about horror assault by director aged just 16

<p>Reese Witherspoon has revealed she was assaulted by a famous Hollywood director at age 16, during a Hollywood event honouring the <a href="http://www.oversixty.com.au/entertainment/movies/2017/10/nicole-kidman-and-cate-blanchett-on-harvey-weinstein-scandal/" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>women who have spoken out</strong></span></a> in detail about sexual assault and harassment in the film industry.</p> <p>Witherspoon told the audience at Elle Woman, <a href="http://www.oversixty.com.au/entertainment/movies/2017/10/jane-fonda-ashamed-of-the-secret-she-kept-about-harvey-weinstein/" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>recent allegations against producer Harvey Weinstein</strong></span></a> had prompted her to share her own experiences.</p> <blockquote class="twitter-video"> <p dir="ltr">Reese Witherspoon is the latest celebrity to come forward to talk about how she was sexually assaulted by a Hollywood director.
