"She was my everything": Audrey Griffin's heartbroken mother speaks out

What began as an ordinary night out with friends ended in a tragedy that shattered a family, stunned a community, and prompted a determined mother to fight for answers no one else seemed to be asking.

Audrey Griffin, 19, was found dead in Erina Creek on the Central Coast of New South Wales last month. Her fully clothed body was discovered partially submerged in the water on March 23, just hours after she was reported missing. Initially, police deemed her death non-suspicious, possibly a tragic accident. But her mother, Kathleen Kirby, refused to accept that explanation.

“It’s like you can’t breathe, it’s like you don’t want to breathe,” Kirby told 7NEWS, speaking publicly through her grief. “But I needed to find the strength because I wasn’t satisfied with what the outcome was, so I kept going.”

Kirby’s instincts proved tragically accurate.

On Monday, NSW Police arrested 53-year-old Adrian Torrens and charged him with Audrey’s murder. Torrens, who police say had no prior connection to Audrey, is also facing 11 unrelated domestic violence charges. Authorities now allege a violent altercation occurred between the two as Audrey was walking home. Torrens’ lawyer appeared in court on his behalf Tuesday; he did not apply for bail. His case has been adjourned until next month.

Superintendent Darryl Jobson said that while early forensic and post-mortem findings did not initially indicate foul play, the case remained open due to “unusual circumstances”.

“Getting answers for the family was front of mind,” Jobson said. “New information from other sources led us to reconsider and launch a full homicide investigation.”

Kirby, driven by a mother’s intuition and unrelenting love, was at the centre of that push for the truth. “My head and my gut were telling me different,” she said. Now, as police pursue justice, a mother mourns the unimaginable loss of her only child.

“She was more than my world, she was my everything,” Kirby said through tears. “She’s just everything that you’d ever imagine, or want, for a child.”

Audrey was much more than a statistic or a headline. She was a triathlete, a teammate, a leader and a beloved friend. Just weeks before her death, she competed in New Zealand’s ANZCO Foods Half Ironman, finishing 23rd in her age group. She played water polo for Gosford, patrolled beaches with the Terrigal Surf Life Saving Club, took to the field with the Terrigal Sharks, and once served as vice-captain of Central Coast Sports College.

“She touched the hearts of so many people and always had a smile,” one friend wrote on social media. “Her laugh was contagious and her goofy self always made us laugh. Audrey, you are truly loved by so many people.”

Now, those same people are left grieving a life stolen too soon, and honouring a young woman whose courage, kindness and spirit made the world brighter – if only for a short time.

For Kirby, the fight for answers has turned into the deeper, longer journey of navigating life without her daughter. “I will never feel whole again,” she said.

Images: 7NEWS

Fresh medical report sheds new light on Shane Warne’s sudden death

New details have emerged regarding the sudden death of cricketing legend Shane Warne, who passed away in a Thai hotel room in March 2022 at the age of 52.

A newly surfaced medical report, published by The Sun, reveals that multiple medications were found in Warne’s luxury villa on the Thai island of Koh Samui. These included two types of Viagra – Sildenafil (marketed as Viagra) and Kamagra (an unregulated version available in jelly sachets) – as well as Dapoxetine, a drug used to prevent premature ejaculation.

While Viagra and Dapoxetine are legal with a prescription, Kamagra is illegal in Thailand but widely available over the counter. It remains uncertain whether Warne had taken any of these medications before his passing.

Warne had a known history of heart issues, and these medications carry warnings for individuals with cardiovascular conditions. However, a post-mortem examination conducted in Thailand concluded that Warne died of natural causes due to congenital heart disease, ruling out foul play.

Despite this, recent reports claim that Thai police removed Kamagra from Warne’s hotel room during their investigation. Meanwhile, News Corp reported that Warne had openly discussed using Viagra during his relationship with actress and model Elizabeth Hurley.

Warne was staying at the Smujana Villas resort with three friends at the time of his death. CCTV footage captured two massage therapists leaving his villa shortly before he was found unresponsive at approximately 5pm His friends called for medical assistance at 5:40pm, with paramedics arriving at 6pm and initiating CPR at 6:10pm.

Dr Dulyakit Wittayachanyapong, who oversaw Warne’s treatment at Thailand International Hospital, described his condition upon arrival, stating: “When he arrived at hospital, his face was green and pale, he had black blood in his nose and mouth, which was unusual. There was no sign of life.”

Hospital staff attempted resuscitation for 43 minutes before Warne was declared dead at 6:53pm. According to the medical report, doctors intubated him and administered adrenaline and sodium bicarbonate in an attempt to revive him. Blood tests revealed that his oxygen levels had plummeted to a critical 40%.

In the weeks leading up to his death, Warne had been on a liquid diet, and his lifestyle reportedly included habitual smoking and drinking.

His sudden passing sent shockwaves through the cricketing world, with fans and former teammates mourning the loss of an icon whose impact on the sport remains unmatched.

Images: Instagram

66-year-old woman reveals why she just gave birth to her 10th child

In a remarkable turn of events, 66-year-old Alexandra Hildebrandt gave birth to her 10th child, a healthy baby boy named Philipp, on March 19 at Charité Hospital in Berlin. The birth, carried out via cesarean section, saw Philipp weighing in at 7 pounds, 13 ounces.

Hildebrandt, a well-known human rights activist and the director of Berlin’s Checkpoint Charlie Museum, insists that she conceived naturally, without the aid of fertility drugs, and faced no difficulties during the process.

Baby Philipp joins an already large and diverse family, including siblings Svitlana (46), Artiom (36), Elisabeth (12), Maximilian (12), Alexandra (10), Leopold (8), Anna (7), Maria (4), and Katharina (2). Remarkably, eight of these children were born after Hildebrandt turned 53, all during her second marriage to former CDU politician Daniel Dormann.

For Hildebrandt, having a big family is both fulfilling and fundamental. “A big family is not only something wonderful, but above all, it is important for raising children properly,” she told The Today Show. Despite her age, she has received only positive feedback from friends and family regarding her pregnancy and childbirth.

Dr Wolfgang Henrich, Hildebrandt’s OB/GYN, described her pregnancy as “largely uncomplicated”. However, medical experts caution that pregnancies at such an advanced age come with significant risks. Dr Brian Levine, a fertility specialist based in New York City, notes that the biological likelihood of a woman conceiving naturally at 66 is extremely low. Additionally, the risks of hypertension, gestational diabetes, preterm labor and chromosomal abnormalities like Down syndrome rise significantly with age.

Hildebrandt is not alone in making headlines for late-life motherhood. In 2023, 70-year-old Safina Namukwaya from Uganda gave birth to twins via in vitro fertilisation using donor eggs and her husband’s sperm. Despite concerns about her age, Namukwaya expressed joy at her newfound motherhood, saying that age should not be a barrier to having children.

As for Hildebrandt, she credits her lifestyle for her ability to conceive and carry a child at her age. “I eat very healthily, swim regularly for an hour, walk for two hours,” she shared in an interview with Bild. She also noted that she has never smoked, consumed alcohol or used contraceptives.

Images: The Today Show

"She did not die with dignity": Clare Nowland's family share emotional statements

The distraught family of Clare Nowland, who was fatally tasered by a police officer in 2023, have broken down as they shared the devastating impact her death has had on them.

In November last year, Senior Constable Kristian James Samuel White, 34, was found guilty of manslaughter after he discharged his stun gun at the 95-year-old grandmother in a treatment room at Yallambee Lodge aged-care home in the southern NSW town of Cooma during the early hours of May 17th 2023.

After remaining suspended with pay throughout the trial, White was removed from the NSW Police Force days after the verdict was handed down, and is challenging the decision.

White faced the NSW Supreme Court on Friday for a sentencing hearing ahead of the determination of his fate and the future of his career.

Ms Nowland’s eldest son Michael Nowland shared a heartbreaking victim impact statement stating he is still in a state of disbelief following his mother’s tragic death.

“When I was told mum had been tasered by a police officer… I went into a state of shock and asked the question ‘who in their right mind could do this to a frail 95-year-old lady?” he said.

“No one in the (hospital) room could answer this question. How could a human being, let alone a police officer, perform such an inappropriate and inhumane act on a frail old lady who weighed just 45kg?”

Mr Nowland said the more he learned about the incident the more “confused” he felt, as he said, “I will never forgive this officer for tasering and killing my mum."

“Mum did not deserve to have her life end in this manner... she was a caring and dignified lady, but she did not die with dignity.”

Clare Nowland’s daughter Jennifer Nowland said her mother’s death has had a devastating impact on their entire family, including her young grandkids.

She said, “Her three-year-old granddaughter is asking why nanna Clare’s face is on the TV, and if nanna Clare will still get Christmas presents now that she if dead.”

Clare’s other daughter Gemma Murphy glared over at White as she called out his “grotesque” actions and called for justice for all vulnerable Australians.

“I struggle to find solace in a world that feels so unjust…but I seek justice not revenge for mum,” she said.

“She was so much more than just the grandmother that was tasered, she lived her life with purpose and dedication."

“I implore you to reflect on the true cost of this tragedy, my mother’s death should serve as a catalyst for change. We must do better for those who cannot protect themselves."

Globetrotter reveals the worst places she has travelled to

Seasoned globetrotter Lauren Heavner has revealed the five countries she would never return to, explaining why she will never recommend the popular destinations.

Heavner documents her travels online, and after visiting 170 countries, she has formed some strong opinions on what destinations are not worth travelling to.

Lauren explained to MailOnline the reasons behind her controversial picks for her least favourite travel destinations, recounting her experiences in the holiday hotspots that earned them a place on her list.

Monaco

In a viral TikTok video, Lauren explains that she’s been to the city-state of Monaco “at least 20 times”, but says “it’s not for her”, saying, “It just doesn’t have much of a culture. It’s impossible to walk around the streets and see anything.”

She further explained to MailOnline, “The thing about Monaco, the bitter pill you can’t quite swallow, is that it’s unapologetically built for the ultra-rich. Every time I’m there, I’m confronted by my place in the food chain.”

Despite its flaws, Lauren admits that Monaco is “beautiful at night” in the video and said the “view alone” could get her back there, despite the rich destination leaving her feeling like a “peasant”.

Ghana

Lauren explained that she's been to the capital of Ghana, Accra, a few times, but said that there “wasn’t really much to do”, and felt “unease” as she explored the city.

She commented, “I wandered the streets of Accra on my own for a while. But it didn’t take long before unease crept in.”

“The chaos, the unfamiliarity, it’s not the kind of place that coddles a lone outsider. I felt slightly on guard. Maybe it was paranoia, maybe it was instinct - but either way, I retreated after only a short time of wandering solo.”

She went on to tell MailOnline, “What stayed with me most about Ghana was the stark reality of its struggles. The poverty was impossible to ignore. Children working, shops stocked with imported goods far out of reach for most.”

Despite her experiences, Lauren explains that “the lingering regret of not seeing enough” could lure her back.

Malaysia

Recalling a trip to Malaysia with her friends, Lauren said the destination felt “pretty corrupt” and struggled with the social issues.

“I was there with a group of friends. It was one of those punishingly hot, humid days where even breathing felt like work,” she said, recalling when she visited the batu caves.

“We were all in shorts, naturally. But then came the rules: women had to be covered - no knees, no shoulders. Men? ‘Yeah, come as you are, it doesn't matter’.”

She added that the worst aspect of her time in Malaysia was “the lack of things to do in the capital”, which she says “felt like a city waiting to impress but never delivering”.

Canada

Lauren acknowledged that picking Canada for her least favourite destination was controversial, but explained that the country is “really not that exciting for an American”, clarifying to MailOnline that “there aren’t many negative aspects of Canada”, it’s just too “familiar”.

She explains, “It’s familiar to the point of feeling predictable. The same big-box stores, the same general vibe - just with better manners and a lot more Tim Hortons (a Canadian coffeehouse and restaurant chain).”

Lauren concluded, “Canada is great, but it’s not exactly exotic. It feels too much like home.”

France

Lauren slammed Paris as “overrated” and said the capital is “the worst part of France”, and urged travellers to head elsewhere in the country.

Speaking to MailOnline, she says she has “never felt unsafe in France” but adds that “Paris can be slightly dodgy in certain areas”.

Lauren added, “Let’s just say France isn’t exactly known for rolling out the red carpet for outsiders. There’s a certain coolness, a guardedness that can feel like a wall if you’re not prepared for it.”

The seasoned traveller recommends heading to “the French Riviera” or anywhere “other than Paris”.

"She was the light of our lives": Family's tribute to hero kindergarten teacher

Eleanor Bryant, 43, put herself in harm's way to save preschoolers from a water tanker that crashed into the Macedon Ranges Montessori Pre-School in Riddells Creek on Tuesday.

Now, the mother-of-two and speech pathologist has been remembered for her caring and down-to-earth nature by her family.

Bryant's husband and his two young kids expressed their grief in a statement, saying they were "devastated by the loss".

"She was the light of our lives: a cherished mother, wife, daughter and sister, and beloved by all her family and enormous network of friends," the statement read.

"Her infectious smile, sense of humour and passion for life made her a joy to be around.

"There is an enormous hole in our hearts today.

"We thank the emergency services for their tireless work and the public for their beautiful tributes.

"We will miss her like crazy. We thank you for respecting our privacy at this difficult time."

Bryant has also been remembered for the impact she has made as a speech pathologist, with mum Becky Burton thanking her for changing her daughter Milla's life.

"I've never met someone that was so engaging, so down to earth, so caring and would do whatever it took [to make sure Milla was happy]," Burton said.

"[She was] the most beautiful mum and person just taken so tragically."

Bryant tragically died at the scene after the crash, while a three-year-old boy was injured and taken to the Royal Children's Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries to his arm.

He remains in hospital and is in a stable condition.

The driver of the truck was also taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition after the "experienced 68-year-old driver is understood to have suffered a medical episode".

Parents and family members have since visited the kindergarten and laid flowers and cards as a tribute to Bryant.

Family friend Walter Lucas held back tears as he remembered the beloved mother-of-two, saying: "She saved that kid's life. That kid is now going to go off and live their whole life. For her to take her life for that kid, she is more than a hero.

"She's a superhero."

Clinton Zammit, whose children went to the kindergarten, described the situation as "really sad".

"I feel sorry for the woman who lost her life, her kids waking up today and having no mother. An unsung hero to push away kids and not care about anything else but the kids.

"It hits home when my kids used to come here and there are other families involved.

"We are a close-knit community, we are small but have big hearts and this will affect the community for a while."

The pre-school is expected to remain closed for the coming weeks, and ongoing counselling has been offered onsite.

Images: Nine

My father loved acting, most recently appearing as himself in Suits LA and in our documentary America’s Dad, chronicling his journey as an actor.

“He was my dad, my best friend, and my hero. Thank you for your prayers and support during this time.”

Now, his daughter Shannon Amos, has revealed that she only learned about his death when it was reported by the media on Tuesday.

She paid tribute to her late father in a video shared to Instagram that showed them dancing to the song Dance with My Father by Luther Vandross.

"I am without words…Our family has received the heartbreaking news that my Dad, John Allen Amos, Jr., transitioned on August 21st," Shannon wrote in the caption.

"We are devastated and left with many questions about how this happened 45 days ago, learning about it through the media like so many of you.

"This should be a time of honoring and celebrating his life, yet we are struggling to navigate the wave of emotions and uncertainties surrounding his passing. Still, there is some semblance of peace in knowing my father is finally free," she continued, before thanking everyone for their "outpouring of love".

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Shannon Amos | Health & Wellness | Retreats (@officialshannonamos)

John Amos passed away at the age of 84.

His children had disagreed on his care, which became public last year after she raised concerns that her father was "a victim of elder abuse and financial exploitation". “Absolutely livid”: Woman discovers she’s been fired via text on her wedding day

A woman has recalled the moment she discovered she had lost her job after her boss delivered the news via text on the woman’s wedding day.

The bride shared that she got the message from her boss just 30 minutes after she walked down the aisle.

The woman shared the story with Ben Askins, who regularly shares stories online of toxic employers, as she read out the messages she received on what was supposed to be the happiest day of her life.

“On my wedding day, half an hour after the ceremony, I got a text from my boss to let me know I had been fired,” she said.

The message from her boss read, “Hey, I hope your wedding went well and that you had a nice time away. I just wanted to let you know that the decision has been made to unfortunately let you go.”

“An email has been sent to your personal email address detailing this. I'm really sorry that it didn't work out and wish you all the best moving forward x.”

As she was surrounded by loved ones, the bride struggled to contain her emotions as she quickly checked her emails.

“I hope your wedding went well and you had a good time. This email is to inform you that your employment will be terminated effective the 20th of May,” the email read.

“Your employment has been terminated as we unfortunately feel your performance doesn't meet the expectations that we require for the role.”

The woman explained how she felt her manager's email was a “coward's way” of letting her go while she wasn't at work, and was unable to defend herself.

“I wasn't going to let it go but what they did... I was really angry at them,” she said.

“They had the opportunity to do it in person. Everyone was let go in person except for me.”

Askins said the woman’s story was one of the “worst things” he's ever heard a boss do to an employee.

“It's meant to be one of the best, most amazing days ever and they've done that to you,” he told the woman. “You have every right to be absolutely livid with them.”

Askins' video of the woman’s story has been viewed more than 600,000 times, with many taking particular issue on the bride's boss for being “petty” and “inappropriate”.

“This person could have waited a day. It's done on purpose to ruin your special day. Only narcissists would do that,” one said.

Another added, “The fact that she texted her to let her know about the email is so petty. She wanted her to know on her wedding day.”

New mum admits she hates her baby’s name

A woman has asked for advice after admitting that she hates her new baby’s name and “can’t stand to say it out loud”.

The new mum took to Reddit to explain that she had given birth to a baby boy a month ago, and had been discussing potential names for her son with her boyfriend since she fell pregnant.

The mother explained that her partner “immediately bombarded” her with names “that he would name” their son, and many of them were family monikers.

She said that her boyfriend was keen to name the baby after either his grandfather or great-grandfather, whose names were Oliver and Chad.

“I HATE the name Chad,” she said. “We know a couple of Chads and they are not great people. I also don’t love the name Oliver but I’d rather that than Chad.”

The woman explained her partner was “very sentimental when it comes to anything in his life that has to do with his family”, while she was “not that sentimental”.

“He was adamant on the name Chad because it belonged to his dad’s grandpa, whom his dad never met due to him passing away in the war,” she said.

“I asked him to compromise and make Chad the middle name ‘cause I’d rather the name Oliver, his response was ‘maybe’ but in a tone that meant ‘no.’”

The woman went on to explain that she and her partner reached a stalemate in the name discussion and it wasn’t brought up again until their son was born.

The new mother said the couple planned on “waiting until she was relaxed and situated before they signed the birth certificate”, but when she went to sign it, she saw his name had been written as ‘Chad Beau Smith’ by her boyfriend.

“I had had no say in the name whatsoever, my partner had seen me bare-down and drugged up, going through the hardest experience of my life and gave me no say in what we name our son,” she said.

The woman was shocked and ended up arguing with her husband for about an hour or so but was so exhausted from the birth, she gave up and said “fine you win”.

“My boyfriend then smirked as he handed the birth certificate in. I was too tired to fight anymore. I felt like I just needed to focus on taking care of my new baby,” she said.

The mum said she has been avoiding saying his name and also hadn’t posted anything to social media because she “just hates the name”.

“I also now feel like I am disconnecting from my relationship with my partner because after all he watched me go through, I feel that I don’t matter,” she said.

“Am I overreacting?” she asked on Reddit.

The woman’s post quickly went viral on the platform, with people quick to side with the new mum.

“Your boyfriend is a bully, and he sucks. Names are a two yes, one no situation. He took advantage of you, and kept calling your little boy by his middle name. I’m enraged for you.” said one.

“Why are you with this person?” asked another.

“Have his name legally changed. Leave your husband. This is abuse,” said a third.

“This guy has no respect for you, you’re not overreacting, you’re under-reacting,” added another.

Fergie reveals the advice she received from Queen Elizabeth before she died

Sarah Ferguson has revealed the heartfelt advice she received from Queen Elizabeth before she died.

In an interview with Hello! magazine, the Duchess of York has opened up about her battle with cancer, and how a piece of advice she received from the late Queen helped her through her health journey.

Speaking about how her outlook on life has changed after her diagnosis, Fergie reflected on what her ex-mother-in-law said to her before she passed away.

"One of the only people who saw me properly was the Queen [the late Elizabeth II]," she told the publication. "And before she died, she said: 'Sarah, being yourself is enough'."

The Duchess of York still carries that advice with her to this day, explaining that she's raised her daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, to be honest in who they are.

Fergie has previously opened up about her relationship with the late Queen, sharing how her words of wisdom have impacted her for years.

In September 2023, she shared that the last thing the Queen ever said to her was to “just be yourself”.

"And she saw it. She just got so annoyed when I wasn't being myself," she explained on an episode of the podcast Tea Talks with the Duchess and Sarah. "And that's probably when I got into all the pickles. But now I am myself, and I'm just so lucky to be able to be myself."

Earlier that same year, the Duchess reflected on the calming presence of the Queen, telling People magazine that Queen Elizabeth was "so brilliant at putting you at ease," adding, "She had the most incredible faith of any single person I've ever met."

"She just knew what to do," Fergie continued. "She knew how to make people feel good. She never took it onboard as about her."

Catriona Rowntree shares her Europe travel hacks she picked up from locals

After decades of hosting Getaway, Catriona Rowntree has learned a thing or two about travelling.

Along the way, the 52-year-old has picked up some must-know secrets from locals that every traveller should know before heading to Europe.

While in Mallorca in Spain, Rowntree quizzed locals on how to make the most out of her experience, and what faux pas to avoid.

She was given advice on the best way to start a day at the markets, told why you should never rent an Airbnb or buy seafood on a Monday, why takeaway coffee is a bad idea and the secret to a longer, healthy life.

The TV host shared a little known secret when it comes to buying fresh fish, and said travellers should not buy fish on Monday, because fishermen don’t fish on Sundays, meaning fish purchases on Mondays won’t be fresh.

“The life expectancy of a Spaniard is 84, they're a healthy lot, loving a Mediterranean diet, a dollop of sun and a good climate,” she added.

The presenter also discovered that all the locals she has spoken to don't like Airbnb accommodation and prefer for tourists to stay in hotels.

“All the locals I've spoken to say that's what's pushing them out of their apartments as the town centres are slowly gentrified,” she said.

“The average wage is low, most locals rent, sadly landlords prefer the higher fee of an Airbnb. Not cool!”

Catriona's final tip is not to get your coffee takeaway, but rather sit down in a cafe, enjoy your coffee and take it slow.

“People sit down to enjoy their coffee, they don't get a takeaway: 'If you can't sit for five minutes and talk to a person what's wrong with you!',” she said.

Catriona said she was told by a local that the best way to start your day is to explore the markets by getting a hot chocolate and some churros.

“Not every day as you'll be round, but market day for sure," she said.

New details shed light on Rebel Wilson's allegations against actor

New details have emerged of Rebel Wilson's allegations against Sacha Baron-Cohen, with the Aussie actress claiming he acted inappropriately towards her while filming a movie in 2014.

In the days after Rebel took to Instagram to expose Baron-Cohen for allegedly "threatening" her about the publishing of her tell-all memoir, excerpts of Rebel Rising have been published to further detail when the actors worked together on the film Grimsby.

The pair both starred in the comedy film 10 years ago, with Rebel detailing in her book how the Hollywood actor, known for his controversial roles as Borat and Ali G, acted inappropriately towards her on set.

Once filming began for the movie, Wilson claims that Cohen (SBC) would keep requesting her to go “naked” in a scene, according excerpts of the book obtained by People magazine.

She wrote, “It felt like every time I’d speak to SBC, he’d mention that he wanted me to go naked in a future scene. I was like, ‘Ha, I don’t do nudity, Sacha.’ ”

Wilson alleges that Baron-Cohen's behaviour and strange requests only intensified throughout the shoot, coming to a head while they were filming a scene in Cape Town at a soccer stadium.

“SBC summons me via a production assistant saying that I’m needed to film an additional scene. ‘Okay, well, we’re gonna film this extra scene,’ SBC says. Then he pulls his pants down … SBC says very matter-of-factly: ‘Okay, now I want you to stick your finger up my a**.’ And I’m like, ‘What?? … No!'”

Wilson then continues to allege in the book, “I was now scared. I wanted to get out of there, so I finally compromised: I slapped him on the ass and improvised a few lines as the character.”

Sacha Baron-Cohen released a statement via his representatives saying the claims are "demonstrably false", denying the pair had any tension while working together.

“While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby,” a statement from Cohen’s team said in response to Wilson’s allegations.

On Tuesday, Rebel took to Instagram to say she was being "threatened" by Baron-Cohen over the release of such information in her book, which is set for release on April 2nd.

Rebel named and shamed the actor, writing, “I will not be bullied or silenced with high priced lawyer or PR crisis managers. The ‘a**hole’ that I am talking about in ONE CHAPTER of my book is Sacha Baron Cohen.”

"Now the a**hole is trying to threaten me. He’s trying to stop press coming out about my new book. But the book WILL come out and you will all know the truth.”

Experts shed new light on Samantha Murphy case

A panel of experts have shed new light on the case of missing mum Samantha Murphy.

The mother-of-three went missing on February 4 after going for her usual morning run in a local park in Ballarat.

Despite major search efforts from the missing persons squad, specialists and the local Ballarat community, she has still not been found, and now a panel of experts have gathered to discuss the possibilities of what could've happened to Murphy.

Former Victorian detective Damian Marrett, criminal psychologist Dr Peter Ashkar, missing persons specialist Valentine Smith and cyber expert Nigel Phair discussed a number of different scenarios in Channel Nine's show Under Investigation on Wednesday night.

“The idea that Samantha has actually wilfully left the family is just unfathomable and just implausible to me,” Dr Ashkar said.

Presenter Liz Hayes, who spoke to mine shaft explorer Raymond Shaw said that there's a possibility Murphy's body has been buried in one of the abandoned mine shafts around Ballarat.

“I think there could be anywhere between 4000 and 5000 gold mines just underneath the town," Shaw told Hayes.

The panel agreed that the most likely scenario was that Murphy’s body had been dumped in a mineshaft after meeting with foul play, as they believe that there was "no way" Murphy fell down a mineshaft by accident, as the locals all know how to navigate the terrain.

“They could be a great place to conceal a body or a crime after the fact … and you’d probably never find it,” Marrett said.

Dr Ashkar added that the absence of any trace of Murphy could point to her having been attacked by a “psychopathic predator … who would know that area, like the back of their hand”.

The panel also considered a potential new clue, the possible sighting of a damaged vehicle, which was alluded to in a police statement requesting for new information about the case.

The experts said that if there was a damaged car in the area, it could mean that Murphy was kidnapped at the 7km point of her run and could still be alive.

“I would still like to believe the very real possibility that it’s a kidnapping and she’s still alive,” Dr Ashkar said.

“That’s my hope. But I absolutely feel that whoever has taken her and abducted, they are very systematic and organised and knew very well what they were doing.”

Marrett added that the police’s interest in the damaged car was significant.

“They didn’t just say a car, they said a damaged car, it’s so specific,” he said.

“So was that damage caused with this incident or was that damage because someone saw a damaged car leave?”

Image: Nine / Facebook

“My sister-in-law announced she was pregnant at my child’s funeral”

A woman has asked for advice on how to navigate her relationship with her sister-in-law, after the woman overheard an inappropriate conversation at her child’s funeral.

The grieving mother, a 28-year-old named Melissa, took to Reddit to share the heartbreaking story of how her toddler passed away after a battle with cancer.

Melissa described the time as the “hardest in my life”, explaining how she felt she lost “a part of herself” after the funeral.

While Melissa expected her toddlers’ memorial service to be difficult, she never predicted a family member would make it even harder.

The mother said that when she heard her sister-in-law telling people about her pregnancy, she thought the move was just cruel.

“She didn't make a big announcement but more than ten people at the service 'heard' and it's what everyone was talking about. To understate it, I was livid,” Melissa wrote on Reddit.

Melissa’s post then asked social media users for advice, as she was unsure how much of a relationship she wanted to have with her sister-in-law after the stunt.

The 28-year-old shared that she had fallen pregnant herself, and was facing pressure to have a party in celebration, but she didn’t want her whole family in attendance.

“I've been working on who I want to invite, and I really don't want my SIL there,” she said.

“Besides what she did, she's a vindictive and mean person and I cannot stand her.”

“I mentioned it to my husband and he says he couldn't care less whether she's there or not. But for the sake of saving face, I want opinions before I do this.”

She asked the online forum if she would be “an a**hole” for not inviting her, addin that she would still be inviting her husband's other sister and husband's brother's wife.

“The original SIL will be the only one not invited,” she clarified.

The post was flooded with comments as many backed up Melissa, slamming the sister-in-law for her selfish behaviour.

“I wouldn't want someone like that around me. Announcing a pregnancy at a child's funeral is insane,” one said.

“Cut her off and ignore everyone close to her. You are right to have nothing to do with her. She's totally classless.”

However, others encouraged her to have an adult conversation with her sister-in-law in an attempt to mend their relationship.

“Please let it go,” one person began. “This happened on a terrible day during a bad time for you. It's possible that could be clouding how you're looking at this, she may not have been malicious at all.”

She gave me the emotional security I needed to have a career," he said.

"She encouraged me to make the music that was closest to my heart. She was my anchor. She was everything for us. Please say a prayer for her. Love and Mercy, Brian."

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Brian Wilson (@brianwilsonlive)

In his post, he also shared a tribute that appeared to come from their five children collectively, which read, "It is with a heavy heart that we let everyone know that our mum, Melinda Kay Ledbetter Wilson passed away peacefully this morning at home."

"She was a force of nature and one of the strongest women you could come by. She was not only a model, our fathers [sic] savior, and a mother, she was a woman empowered by her spirit with a mission to better everyone she touched. We will miss her but cherish everything she has taught us," the statement read.

"How to take care of the person next to you with out expecting anything in return, how to find beauty in the darkest of places, and how to live life as your truest self with honesty and pride."

They added, "We love you mum. Give Grandma Rose and Pa our love."

Brian and Melinda first met in 1986 and married in 1995, before adopting their five children.

Their love story and relationship was portrayed in the 2014 biographical drama film Love & Mercy, which starred John Cusack and Elizabeth Banks.
