Can you spot what’s wrong with this movie poster?

A bunch of posters for a new movie had to be pulled down following a glaring error that was spotted by fans who, let’s face it, didn’t even need to be particularly eagle-eyed.

Robert Eggers‘ new vikings film The Northman stars Alexander Skarsgärd, Nicole Kidman, Anya Taylor-Joy and Ethan Hawke.

The actors are seen standing together on the poster but there is one thing missing… the movie title.

Posters for the film went up in New York without the title and were drastically pulled down within hours after it went viral on Twitter.

Isaac Butler was the first person to point out the crucial missing element and tweeted what he imagined happened when the poster was ready for printing.

“So you got that poster ready for The Northman?,” he wrote.

“Yeah, chief! We already printed it and put it in subways all over New York!”

“You made sure the title was on it, right?”

“Uhhhhhhhh….”

Subway users were quick to jump onto the action with one even suggesting it was a way to create “buzz” for the new movie.

“Lol they forgot to print the title on the subway ads for The Northman,” someone wrote.

“The Northman looks so good but whoever is in charge of their posters can’t stop f**king up,” another tweeted.

“Well if this 'error' was intentional to get buzz, it's working. Never heard of this until this morning after seeing three tweets like this,” someone suggested.
