<p>Larry Emdur won his first ever Gold Logie on Sunday night following four decades on screen and the Channel 7 co-host has been celebrating since. </p> <p>Not only did he fulfil his promise to get his butt <a href="https://www.oversixty.com.au/entertainment/tv/larry-emdur-gets-tattooed-live-on-air" target="_blank" rel="noopener">tattooed live on air</a> on the <em>Morning Show </em>on Monday, a leaked email shows that the celebrations are still in full swing as he reportedly plans to throw a pizza party at the network's office. </p> <p>“Hi everyone, Larry here. My arse is OK, thanks for asking in the lift, in the foyer, in the carpark, in the studio, in the coffee shop,” Emdur began the email reportedly seen by news.com.au.</p> <p>“I know this Logie belongs to you all, it’s been a huge team effort and I know, willingly or unwillingly, most of you were roped into the Logies campaign.</p> <p>“I can only think of one way to thank you all, all at once. PIZZA!!!!! Please leave your lunch at home, I’ve organised a pizza truck.</p> <p>“Even if you voted for Andy Lee, please grab a pizza,” he concluded.</p> <p>Just days before the Logies, Emdur told the publication that he was confident he wouldn't win and vowed to get the nominees<a href="https://www.oversixty.com.au/entertainment/tv/larry-emdur-s-crazy-pledge-ahead-of-logies" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> initials tattooed</a> on his butt live-on air if he did, and that's exactly what he did to the amusement of co-host Kylie Gillies. </p> <p>The tattoo design featured the shape of a Logie trophy with the other nominees’ initials engraved on it: Asher Keddie, Andy Lee, Sonia Kruger, Tony Armstrong, Robert Irwin and Julia Morris.</p> <p>“I love this tattoo. Hughesy's damning tirade over the Logies

<p>Dave Hughes has launched into a damning rant live on air over the annual Logie awards, saying he was disappointed to not be invited to this year's ceremony. </p> <p>Hughesy has hosted and presented the opening monologue of the Logies several times in past years, but even that wasn't enough to score him an invite to the 2024 awards that happened on Sunday. </p> <p>The comedian and radio and TV regular appeared on The Fox’s <em>Fifi, Fev & Nick </em>on Tuesday, where he launched into a tirade over being snubbed at the event. </p> <p>“I’ve enjoyed doing the Logies in the past … and look, I wasn’t invited on Sunday night. So, I was just at home, yeah,” Hughes explained.</p> <p>“So you don’t even get invited if you’re a past host? I thought there’d be a table for you,” host Nick Cody asked.</p> <p>“I hosted it four times in a row and no invite. No invite! Not even an invite!” responded Hughes, before jokingly shouting: “The amount of losers in that room! I presented for 20 years in a row and didn’t even get an invite.”</p> <p>Brendan Fevola pointed out, “You’ve got no shows on TV though, why would you get invited?” </p> <p>“Mate, I pop up on things. I pop up on things! Larry Emdur gets tattooed live on air

<p>Larry Emdur has stayed true to his promise and tattooed the initials of the other Gold Logie nominees on his bum, live on <em>The Morning Show</em>. </p> <p>After being nominated for the coveted award, Emdur said last Thursday that he would get the <a href="https://oversixty.com.au/entertainment/tv/larry-emdur-s-crazy-pledge-ahead-of-logies" target="_blank" rel="noopener">tattoo</a>, saying: “I’m so confident I won’t win, I’ll happily get all the nominees’ name initials tattooed on my a*** on the show (The Morning Show) on Monday.”</p> <p>Emdur was up against Tony Armstrong, Andy Lee, Sonia Kruger, Robert Irwin, Julia Morris, and Asher Keddie for the highly-coveted award, but beat them all out to take home the accolade.</p> <p>On Monday, Emdur followed through with the outrageous promise, lazing on a massage bench in the studio.</p> <p>“Kylie, I can’t see what’s happening!” Larry said.</p> <blockquote class="instagram-media" style="background: #FFF; I was standing up there just looking down at all these famous people. I was thinking it was really a moment.</p> <p>“I was so humbled, thrilled and honoured … you just go wow, all of TV is in this room. "He's not dead!" Logies tribute to John Farnham divides viewers

<p>A tribute to John Farnham at the 2024 TV Week Logies has divided audiences, with some saying the performance was a beautiful homage, while others believe it seemed like a eulogy for someone who isn't dead. </p> <p>On Sunday night, Guy Sebastian and Jessica Mauboy took to the Logies stage for the performance that had everyone on their feet. </p> <p>They were introduced by David Campbell, who recalled some of Farnham's impressive accolades. </p> <p>"He sold over six million albums, had a career that spanned 60 years and is one of the best live performers the world has ever seen," Campbell said. </p> <p>"We want to acknowledge John's wife Jill, his sons, Robert and James, and his close friend, Glenn Wheatley's wife Gaynor and their son, Tim Wheatley. But, most importantly tonight, it's about celebrating you, John. You are an Aussie icon. Larry Emdur takes home Gold Logie in star-studded awards

<p>The 2024 TV Week Logies kicked off on Sunday night to celebrate the world of Australian TV and entertainment, with actors and presenters alike dressing in their best frocks and heading to Sydney's The Star. </p> <p>For the second year in a row, hosting the show was Sam Pang, known for his hilarious comedy on <em>Have You Been Paying Attention?</em> on Channel Ten, as he took to the stage for a memorable opening monologue. </p> <p>Pang used the Logies stage, which was being broadcast by Channel Seven, to take a swipe at the struggling network, roasting Seven for their spate of recent scandals, such as the Bruce Lehrmann-<em>Spotlight</em> scandal</p> <p>"Firstly, Channel 7, well, I'm just letting you all know I'm going to say whatever I want tonight," he said as he kicked things off. </p> <p>"I stand before you safe in the knowledge that whatever I say, this network will defend me in court, and with their impeccable record in defamation cases over the last 12 months I reckon I'll be fine."</p> <p>Amid a string of jobs being cut at Seven, Sam then joked that he wasn't getting paid by the network for his hosting gig and said they would instead be paying his rent.</p> <p>"Full disclosure - I'm not getting paid by Channel Seven tonight. Instead, for the next 12 months, they're paying my rent," he quipped. Larry Emdur's crazy pledge ahead of Logies

<p>Channel Seven presenter Larry Emdur is up for his first Gold Logie and he's so sure he won't win that he's made a wild pledge if he does end up being crowned. </p> <p>“I’m so confident I won’t win, I’ll happily get all the nominees name initials tattooed on my arse on the Morning Show live on Monday [if I do],” he told <em>news.com.au</em>.</p> <p>Despite the presenter hosting popular TV shows for over 30 years, including <em>The Price Is Right, Wheel of Fortune, Hey Hey It’s Saturday</em>, this is his first Logie nomination ever. </p> <p>Before his hosting hobs on TV, Emdur was a cadet journalist at Seven, where he earned the title of ‘Australia’s youngest ever national newsreader’ when he presented the overnight news at just 19. </p> <p>While the title sounds pretty cool, the host revealed the truth behind how he got the role. </p> <p>“There’s a bit of a twist to that... it’s been slightly misrepresented over the years, but it was an overnight shift that no one wanted to do,” he said. </p> <p>“For me, I wanted to surf all day, so I was like, ‘OK, I’ll do the overnight shift’. And that gave me the title back then as the youngest national newsreader.”</p> <p>He landed his first job as a paperboy for Fairfax, and while it was "the crappiest early entry job", Emdur said he initially "wasn’t in there to be part of the media. I really just wanted to surf all day.”</p> <p>It wasn't until a journo gave him a tip-off suggesting he rewrite an existing article about crime in Bondi and offer it to a community newspaper when things started to kick off for his career. </p> <p>He wrote his very first article 'The Bondi Crime Plague by Larry Emdur’ on a typewriter and sent it to the<em> Bondi Spectator’s</em> office.</p> <p>“They were only doing bowling reports, commercials, adverts and stuff. So they weren’t big on news. And I just wrote a note saying, ‘I’m interested in getting into the media. Dear editor, could you let me know what you think of this?’,” he said. </p> <p>“That was a Monday, and Mum came into my room on a Thursday morning, woke me up and said, ‘Is this you?’ And [there it was] on page 3." </p> <p>“So, I was a reporter now. I was basically stealing stories, but I was a journalist. I thought, ‘This is unbelievable’.”</p> <p>He then interned for<em> Seven</em> during the Christmas period and got his early break producing a story that made it to air with the help of late New Zealand musician Ricky May. </p> <p>“I put that down to Ricky May. He just picked me out his crowd and went, ‘Follow me. I’ll make a story with you.’”</p> <p>This was a pivotal moment in his career before he was eventually promoted to national news reading, and is now a popular figure on Aussie TV. </p> <p>Despite this, the <em>Morning Show</em> co-host still stands by his Logie prediction. </p> <p>“I feel confident that I won’t be getting a tattoo on my arse on the Morning Show,” he said. </p> <p><em>Images: Instagram</em></p>

"No disrespect": Home and Away star's swipe at Robert Irwin's Logie nomination

<p><em>Home and Away</em> veteran Lynne McGranger has taken a savage swipe at Robert Irwin, who has earned his first Gold Logie nomination. </p> <p>The young wildlife warrior is among a group of Aussie TV old-hands in the running for the 2024 Gold Logie, with the 20-year-old being the youngest male ever nominated for the award. </p> <p>Also battling it out for the Gold is Larry Emdur, Andy Lee, Asher Keddie, Julia Morris, Sonia Kruger, and ABC's Tony Armstrong.</p> <p>The nomination comes hot on the heels of Irwin's TV debut as co-host of <em>I'm A Celebrity... Get Me out of Here!</em> alongside Julia Morris, as he took over from Dr Chris Brown for the 2024 season. </p> <p>After Robert's nomination was announced, despite how well the new season of <em>I'm A Celeb</em> was received, many wondered how someone with so little TV experience could find himself in the running for the award. </p> <p>One of those skeptics was <em>Home and Away</em> actress Lynne McGranger, who made a cheeky swipe towards Robert when commenting in support of her Channel Seven colleague Larry Emdur who is up for the award for the first time.</p> <p>"I'm sorry but ol'mate Irwin has been on telly for a bloody minute!! No disrespect intended. #Lazforgold 🫶🏾🥇😍" she wrote on Larry's Instagram post, with over 300 people liking the comment.</p> <p>The comment came after Larry shared a screenshot of a message he was sent, with someone congratulating him on the nomination but telling him they'd be voting for Irwin.</p> <p>Lynne's rogue comment was met with mainly support from people.</p> <p>"You said what everyone is thinking," one person said. Logies 2024 Award nominations revealed

<p>The nominations for the 2024 Logie Awards has just dropped and here are all the stars and shows going for gold this year. </p> <p>Andy Lee, known as the host of <em>The Hundred with Andy Lee</em> is returning to the Logies with his first nomination since 2015, and is hoping to get his very first Gold Logie win for Most Popular Personality on Australian Television.</p> <p>"It's a super exciting time for me and for our show <em>The Hundred</em> which just keeps getting bigger and bigger," he told<em> 9Entertainment</em>.</p> <p>"I think there must've been an administration error and they've confused my name with Hamish [Blake's]," he joked.</p> <p>He is up against, Julia Morris, Robert Irwin and Sonia Kruger among other stars vying for this year's Gold Logie. </p> <p><em>60 Minutes</em> "Pure terror": Samuel Johnson recalls infamous Logies moment with Molly Meldrum

<p>Samuel Johnson has opened up on his long-running feud with Molly Meldrum, which began at the 2017 Logies. </p> <p>Johnson appeared on 2Day FM’s <em>Hughsey, Ed & Erin</em> on Wednesday to reveal the brutal fallout of the infamous moment when Meldrum stormed the state during Johnson's acceptance speech and took over the microphone, giving a rambling and at times explicit speech of his own.</p> <p>The win, for playing Meldrum in the two-part miniseries about his life titled <em>Molly</em>, came at a time when the actor had become a tireless fundraiser for cancer research after starting the Love Your Sister charity in 2012 with his sister Connie, who had been diagnosed with multiple cancers throughout her life.</p> <p>However, instead of being able to use his speech to raise awareness for the charity, Meldrum instead stole the actor’s thunder and was left facing a wave of criticism over his bizarre antics. </p> <p>Speaking on Wednesday, Johnson said that incident was “pure terror” and a night he’s still not forgotten about.</p> <p>“I told him it was my moment not his! I was looking down at the front table. It was all the people from <span id="U84206877909VdF">The Project</span> and they all had their jaws on the floor,” he said. “It was 8 minutes of pure terror.” </p> <p>Johnson, who previously claimed Meldrum’s antics at the ceremony cost the charity he had planned to plug over $1 million dollars, went to reveal the fallout of the incident, confessing that he’s not seen Meldrum since all the drama went down that infamous evening.</p> <p>“I don’t hold grudges, I just can’t walk into the future with him,” he continued, suggesting that more has gone down behind the scenes than fans know about.</p> <p>“There’s a lot that he’s done that I don’t say. But it’s not that I hold a grudge, it’s that I’ve moved on.”</p> <p>Johnson appeared on the same radio show last year when he spoke about the feud, when Hughesy urged him to let go of his grudge against the Aussie TV legend. </p> <p>“You said you would never speak to Molly again … I hate grudge holding and that’s bad for you,” Hughes bluntly told Johnson last year. </p> <p>“I agree with you, I totally agree with you, but when I’ve specifically asked you not do something, and it’s a once in a lifetime moment, a moment I’ll never get back … He has breached my trust in that moment and I’m sorry, I’m not going to do the Molly sequel. Kochie’s surprise return to Sunrise

<p dir="ltr">David Koch has shocked <em>Sunrise</em> viewers by making a surprise return to the Channel Seven morning show, two months after leaving his long-standing hosting role. </p> <p dir="ltr">While dropping in to share the details of this next business venture with Nat Barr and Matt Shirvington, Kochie revealed how his life has changed <a href="https://oversixty.com.au/entertainment/tv/kochie-s-emotional-farewell-on-sunrise" target="_blank" rel="noopener">since he left <em>Sunrise</em></a> in June. </p> <p dir="ltr">He admitted that he’s not missing the early morning starts, after 20 years of waking up at 3:30am for the show, saying, “I feel like a new man.”</p> <p dir="ltr">But while Kochie has been revelling in the sleep-ins, he said that his wife Libby has been feeling a little put out by his presence. </p> <p dir="ltr">“I’m not sure Lib is enjoying me being awake so late at night because it interrupts all of her shows,” he said. </p> <p dir="ltr">“She still keeps the zapper and goes ‘Nick off! Abbie Chatfield fires up over Sonia Kruger's Gold Logie win

<p>Abbie Chatfield has slammed Sonia Kruger's recent Gold Logie win after accusing the TV presenter of discrimination.</p> <p>The <em>Masked Singer </em>judge expressed her disapproval of Kruger's Gold Logie win on her <em>It's A Lot podcast</em>, where she criticised the "disgusting" comments Kruger made about Muslim immigration in 2016.</p> <p>"It's very easy for white feminists to be like, "A woman won. Aren't you happy a woman won?" Karl addresses cringeworthy Kochie joke at the Logies

<p>Karl Stefanovic has addressed his awkward joke at the Logies on Sunday night, which was aimed at long-running breakfast TV rival David Koch. </p> <p>While presenting an award at the ceremony, Stefanovic took to opportunity to rip into Kochie with the ad-libbed joke, which left the audience more bewildered than entertained. </p> <p>It started when Kochie confessed his fondness for the third season of Stan series <em>Bump</em> while speaking to the star-studded audience. </p> <p>Seizing the moment, Stefanovic took a comedic leap, playing on the double entendre of "bump", a term colloquially associated with cocaine. </p> <p>"I want to just check something... I am pretty sure before I heard Kochie say he loves Bump's... season three. Did anyone mishear that? Because I am pretty sure I did."</p> <p>"Anyway, those are the headlines tomorrow morning..." Stefanovic remarked, hoping for a laugh, while cameras panned to Kochie who looked utterly confused by the joke. </p> <p>Addressing the joke on Monday morning while speaking to Kyle and Jackie O, the <em>Today</em> host shared that even his wife Jasmine mocked him for the joke falling flat. </p> <p>"Clearly the audience was too old. There really wasn't much laughter. It was one of those totally awkward moments," Stefanovic happily admitted. </p> <p>“I got back to my seat, and you know, generally our partners support us.... that one went flat. Jackie O’s hilarious walk of shame after wild Logies all nighter

<p dir="ltr">Jackie O didn’t let her 5am start time stop her from partying all night at the Logies afterparty even if that meant she had to show up to work wearing last night’s dress.</p> <p dir="ltr">In a hilarious video uploaded to Instagram, Jackie O shared behind the scenes footage of what it was like for a celebrity to do the walk of shame into work after a big night out.</p> <p dir="ltr">The video starts off with her walking down a footpath in her red strapless gown laughing as she said "this is embarrassing".</p> <p dir="ltr">When someone asked why she was still wearing last night’s dress she sheepishly replied:</p> <p dir="ltr">“I have not been home, I had the craziest night”.</p> <p dir="ltr">The radio host shared a bunch of clips from her wild all-nighter, spliced together with time stamps.</p> <p dir="ltr">She looked like she had a great time, partying with fellow entertainers Grant Denyer and Chris Brown.</p> <p dir="ltr">At 1:53 am Brown, who was shocked that Jackie was still at the afterparty incredulously asked her: "What the hell are you doing here?"</p> <p dir="ltr">The radio host replied: “I know, I know,” but she didn’t think too hard about it as she continued to party all night, only leaving when <em>KIIS FM</em> intern Pete Deppeler told her it was 4am.</p> <p dir="ltr">When she got in the studio, Kyle Sandilands beamed with joy when he saw his co-star and exclaimed: “Oh my god, you’re in the same outfit?”</p> <p dir="ltr">Jackie O sheepishly repeated the same answer and told him that she hadn’t been home, to which a shocked Kyle replied, “what do you mean you haven’t been home?”</p> <p dir="ltr">She later explained on the show that she didn’t intend to have a big night out and got carried away with the festivities, all while sober.</p> <p dir="ltr">"I was planning on leaving straight after I presented that award," she added.</p> <p dir="ltr">"My car was booked [and] ready to go. Kyle Sandilands' wild Logies conspiracy theory

<p>Kyle Sandilands has share his wild Logies conspiracy theory, after he was forced to pull out from presenting an award, before being replaced by a famous rival. </p> <p>The radio shock jock was asked to present the award for Most Outstanding Children's Program while holding his 11-month-old son Otto, but decided against it at the last minute. </p> <p>On Friday, Kyle told listeners of The Kyle and Jackie O Show he had pulled the pin on the presenting duties after he learned how late the ceremony would go. </p> <p>"I've had to pull the pin. I've told them to shove it in their a**e, my exact words yesterday," he said. </p> <p>"My thing was, I had to bring my child out, he's not even one, and it was supposed to be at ten past eight. But they can't guarantee it won't be before 9PM."</p> <p>"I've got a baby, I can't be waiting around with a baby," he added. </p> <p>Kyle then said his wife Tegan was not thrilled about him presenting either.</p> <p>"My wife said, 'What does Otto get out of it? He's just a bit of arm candy for you to get on TV.' And I couldn't agree against it so I told them I'm not going."</p> <p>After pulling out of the ceremony at the last minute, the Logies gave Kyle's presenting role to his rival Dave Hughes. </p> <p>On Monday morning, Kyle shared that he thought the Logies were conspiring against him by giving the hosting gig to Hughesy, given their years of rivalry. </p> <p>"It was a big FU to me from producers to bring Hughesy on," Sandilands said.</p> <p>"I don't think there was an FU from producers," argued his co-host Jackie O. " I think they were just trying to replace you in time [for the show]."</p> <p>Hughesy later explained he thought Kyle would take his joke in good humour and that he even considered telling him about his material beforehand.</p> <p>He said, "I saw him before the show and I was almost going to tell him what I was going to say but I didn't. Sonia Kruger’s cheeky shot during Logies victory speech

<p>The 2023 Logie Awards ceremony was filled with memorable moments, both triumphant and awkward. Sam Pang took on the role of the host, becoming the first in 11 years to do so. He kicked off the proceedings with a pointed and humorous monologue, highlighting the win for diversity as the first-ever host representing both Channel 7 and Channel 10.</p> <p>“I would like to acknowledge a win for diversity tonight. I am the first host in the history of the Logies to be half and half - half Channel 7 and half Channel 10,” Pang began.</p> <p>“Let’s be honest, it’s just be great to have an Asian on Channel 7 who isn’t trying to smuggle live birds through border security,” he continued, telling viewers to strap in for the “two-day” ceremony.</p> <p>One of the night's obvious highlights was the announcement of the Gold Logie winner, Sonia Kruger. Overwhelmed with joy, Sonia expressed her gratitude and thanked everyone involved in her shows, including <em>Big Brother</em>, <em>Dancing With the Stars</em>, and <em>The Voice</em>.</p> <p>She also playfully teased last year's Gold Logie winner, Hamish Blake, for sharing the same agent and their agent's hopes for concentrating on her in the future.</p> <p>Kruger quoted a conversation with the agent who had allegedly told her “I think people are a little over Hamish [Blake].”</p> <p>She added that the man had told her “Frankly I am hoping that he will leave the agency, so I can concentrate all of my efforts on you, Sonia”.</p> <p>Karl Stefanovic, on the other hand, faced a challenging moment during his appearance. Grant Denyer’s heartwarming message ahead of Logies

<p><span id="docs-internal-guid-b727879d-7fff-a32c-2640-3e071597eeed"></span></p> <p dir="ltr">Former <em>Sunrise</em> presenter Grant Denyer has shared a heartwarming message, just days ahead of this year's Logies.</p> <p dir="ltr">Denyer took to Instagram on Thursday to reminisce about the moment he won a Logie Award in 2018, sharing a clip of his heartfelt acceptance speech.</p> <p dir="ltr">“This still hits me in the feels five years later,” he captioned the post.</p> <p dir="ltr">He then went on to explain the deep impact winning the award had on him. </p> <p dir="ltr">“For a kid who was carrying tripods and washing the news cars in a country TV station during his school holidays ... this was the greatest moment of my professional life and I’ll cherish the s*** out of it forever.</p> <p dir="ltr">“I mean, I grew up in awe of Daryl, Bert & Rove ... and in that moment, the same shy, hardworking, big dreaming kid ... joined them 🤯.</p> <p dir="ltr">“Humbled, emotional & choc-a-block full of gratitude 🙏🏻 My cup was not only filled that day but overflowing." </p> <p dir="ltr">He then wished this year's Logies contenders the best of luck and added: "may it be as magical as it was for little ol’ me on that hallowed night of nights." </p> <p dir="ltr">“I’ll never forget it. #tvweeklogies.” </p> <p dir="ltr">In the clip, an emotional Denyer cheered in excitement as he got the award and thanked his tearful wife Chezzi and everyone who had given him a second chance. </p> <p dir="ltr">Fellow celebrities and fans alike applauded the beloved presenter and reminisced the moment with him. </p> <p dir="ltr">“You’re the best GD!” TV personality Angie Kent wrote. </p> <p dir="ltr">“You truly are. Hilarious moment Dr Chris Brown got punked at the Logies

<p dir="ltr">Dr Chris Brown revealed the moment he got punked by an imposter at last year’s Logies.</p> <p dir="ltr">The beloved celebrity vet told the hosts of <em>Triple M’s Mick & MG in the Morning </em>that the prank left him red-faced and wary of whether he’ll be allowed back onto the event’s red carpet this year, despite being the co-host.</p> <p dir="ltr">“I don’t think I’ll be allowed back onto the red carpet after last year’s Logies,” he said, and joked that he was shocked the incident didn’t get out into the public.</p> <p dir="ltr">Brown recalled that he had just arrived at the event and was minding his business when he started getting “strange looks” from a bunch of people.</p> <p dir="ltr">“So I’m on the red carpet and I’m getting a lot of sideways glances and not the kind you want,” he said.</p> <p dir="ltr">“Then about sort of half an hour into it I reckon about 20 people have given me strange looks … just looking disapprovingly in my direction.”</p> <p dir="ltr">The vet was confused as to why people were giving him strange looks until <em>Gardening Australia’s</em> Costa Georgiadis approached him.</p> <p dir="ltr">“Costa comes up with his phone and goes, ‘Hey, look, we’re mates but I thought this was a little unnecessary’,” he said.</p> <p dir="ltr">“Someone had changed their phone name, which you can do, to Dr Chris Brown (Bondi Vet), and was air dropping topless photos of me, shots of me emerging from the surf, paparazzi photos, air dropping them to random people on the red carpet,” Brown laughed.</p> <p dir="ltr">To the amusement of the radio hosts, Brown added: “I, to this day, have no idea how many people received a topless photo from me, apparently, on the red carpet.”</p> <p dir="ltr">Brown is set to co-host this year’s Logies red carpet alongside Sonia Kruger on July 30.</p> <p><em>Image: News.com.au</em></p>

Dr Chris Brown calls out Seven’s “stupid” Logies decision

<p dir="ltr">Dr Chris Brown has jokingly called out Seven’s “stupid” decision to make him co-host of this year’s TV Week Logies red carpet.</p> <p dir="ltr">The <em>Bondi Vet</em> star is set to present at the red carpet alongside Sonia Kruger on July 30, but he is still unsure as to why he was chosen.</p> <p dir="ltr">“Can I just tell you, it is one of the more stupid decisions ever made by Channel 7 to put me on the Red Carpet,” he joked during his guest appearance on Triple M’s<em> Mick & MG in the Morning</em> on July 13.</p> <p dir="ltr">“I know nothing about fashion... and I am also colourblind,” he said, which made the radio hosts chuckle.</p> <p dir="ltr">Brown wondered how he would comment on the stars’ gowns given his condition.</p> <p dir="ltr">“The joy that I’m going to have in telling women that I love their green dress and (I’m) gonna be told it’s red... what could possibly go wrong?” he told the radio hosts.</p> <p dir="ltr">“The insulting nature of my commentary is going to be worth it.”</p> <p dir="ltr">Mick Molloy then joked that he was “going to make the carpet green” for extra laughs, to which Brown replied: “it might as well be, Micky”.</p> <p dir="ltr">Brown and Kruger will present the star-studded event and bring viewers straight into the action from the Logies red carpet at Sydney’s The Star on Sunday, July 30.</p> <p dir="ltr">This will be Brown’s first official role at Seven since he<a href="https://www.oversixty.com.au/news/news/the-doctor-is-out-chris-brown-changes-the-script" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> left <em>Network Ten</em></a> in February, where he had worked for the last 15 years.</p> <p><em>Image: News.com.au/ Triple M’s Mick & MG in the Morning</em></p>

2023 Logie hot favourites revealed
