"Rest in love": All Blacks legend and Dancing with the Stars winner dies at 55

The sports and entertainment communities are mourning the loss of former All Blacks hooker and Dancing with the Stars winner Norm Hewitt, who has passed away at the age of 55.

Hewitt, a beloved figure both on and off the rugby field, succumbed to a lengthy battle with motor neurone disease, as confirmed by his family in a heartfelt statement.

"Although rugby dominated his early life, he established a thriving human relations consultancy after retirement, and his services were much in demand both nationally and internationally," his family shared. "He walked confidently in both Māori and Pākehā worlds and was a particular role model for troubled youth, citing his own background, and offering inspirational teachings that one’s present life need not be one’s future."

Hewitt leaves behind his wife Arlene and their two children, Elizabeth and Alexander. Born and raised in Pōrangahau, southern Hawke’s Bay, Hewitt's rugby career was nothing short of illustrious. Over 13 seasons, he played 296 representative matches for Hawke’s Bay, Southland and Wellington, earning 23 caps for the All Blacks. Hewitt was also a pivotal member of the Hurricanes during the formative years of Super Rugby, missing only one match in the first five years.

The rugby community has been profoundly affected by Hewitt's passing. Former teammate Ofisa Tonu’u posted a touching tribute on Facebook: "I’m just devastated finding out the news today. I will never forget how you always stuck up for me during the Black Tracker days when no one else would, you always look after all the players and we always followed you into battle. No more pain, brother, you can now rest in Love. Fa’afetai tele lava my uso for having my back as I did yours. I know the other boys will be welcoming you with open arms at the gates. Rest in Love, Normy."

Beyond his rugby career, Hewitt transitioned into a public speaker and mentor, focusing heavily on violence prevention programmes and advocacy. He worked with the SPCA as an animal cruelty and anti-violence publicity officer, visiting schools to spread his message. In 2005, Hewitt showcased his versatility by winning the first season of Dancing with the Stars alongside professional dancer Carol-Ann Hickmore.

Hewitt's life was not without its struggles. In 1999, he made a public apology for a drunken incident in Queenstown, marking a turning point as he renounced alcohol and dedicated himself to helping others facing similar challenges.

The outpouring of tributes was immediate, with The All Blacks expressing their sorrow: “We are saddened by the loss of All Black #938 Norm Hewitt who passed away yesterday in Wellington. Hewitt played 9 Tests and 14 Games between 1993 and 1998. Our thoughts are with Norm’s family and loved ones at this time.”

Podcaster Martin Devlin shared his personal experience: “RIP Norm Hewitt. Not a lot of people know how kind & generous this man was. A truly wonderful person. Reached out to me and helped me considerably a long time ago when things were very rough. Love & respect.”

Richard Hills echoed the sentiments of many: “This is bloody sad. A sad way to lose a kiwi icon so young. He had a really rough childhood and upbringing and faced it and turned his life around to become not only a rugby legend but also helped others who’d been through similar issues.”

Norm Hewitt’s legacy will endure through the lives he touched and the positive change he inspired. His story is a testament to the strength of the human spirit and the profound impact one individual can have on the world.

Image: Radio New Zealand

Cruz Hewitt makes his Australian Open debut

Twenty-seven years after a young Lleyton Hewitt made his entrance into the tennis world, another young Hewitt has made their Australian Open debut.

Cruz, the 15-year-old son of Lleyton and Bec, made his big debut in the junior boys’ singles on Sunday, taking on American teen Alexander Razeghi.

Cruz Hewitt is the youngest player in the draw and came out as a wildcard in the tournament, with Razeghi ultimately proving more experienced, as Cruz lost 6-2 6-3 in 1 hour and 26 minutes.

Despite not claiming the match, the similarities between the young tennis star and his famous father were uncanny, with Cruz sporting the backwards cap and almost identical two-handed backhand.

Before taking to the court for the anticipated game, the youngster got in one last masterclass from his dad, a former world No. 1 and two-time grand slam champion, with a quick father-son training session.

Undoubtedly filled with nerves for his son, Lleyton spoke to Nine News before the match, saying he was, “Just unbelievably proud, to be honest.”

“They asked me late last night if I would go out and warm him up this morning on Show Court 3. Just a really special moment.”

“My first ever main draw match at the Australian Open was actually out on Show Court 3 as well.”

“Just some great memories coming back of me playing here. He’s been around the traps, but he’s worked extremely hard to get this opportunity. He is playing well.”

The crowd rallied behind the 15-year-old player during his match, while proud parents Lleyton and Bec watched on eagerly from the stands.

While he fell short of claiming victory against his 17-year-old opponent, Cruz got plenty of encouragement from the crowd as he made the first small steps on his tennis journey.

“He’s still very young. This is all a learning experience,” Lleyton said.

“That’s what the junior event is all about. You want to get the opportunity to play here as seniors one day.”

“He’s been fortunate enough to get a wildcard and hopefully goes out, has a lot of fun.”

Bec and Lleyton Hewitt's son on track for Aussie Open

Bec and Lleyton Hewitt's little boy is growing up fast! Just a few months past his 15th birthday, Cruz Hewitt continued to demonstrate that he's well on his way to following in his famous father's illustrious footsteps.

In mid September, Cruz secured his inaugural professional win at the Darwin Tennis International, even though he was up against much older and more experienced competitors.

That important first pro win came on a Sunday in the first round of qualifiers at the Darwin Tennis International, a 3-6, 4-6, 10-5 thriller over 25-year-old Brian Tran. Cruz then followed that up with another impressive win, 6-3, 6(4)-7, 10-3 over 21-year-old Jerome Iaconi in the second round, before suffering a 3-6, 1-6 loss against 24-year-old Jesse Delaney in the third round of qualifiers.

Cruz was elated to share that his famous dad was overjoyed with his victory when he spoke to reporters, emphasising the significance of his win.

Behind the scenes, Cruz's mother, TV star Bec Hewitt, now aged 40, is more determined than ever to ensure that her family avoids the pitfalls of history repeating itself – as when Lleyton himself went through the trials of becoming an elite-level tennis player.

An insider exclusively shared with Woman's Day, "There was always this underlying feeling that Lleyton's parents, Glynn and Cherilyn, really pushed their boy to get the best out of himself, and it was rumoured at the time that it was their way or the highway when it came to his tennis."

As a result, Bec has spent years advocating for her more balanced parenting approach, steering Lleyton towards her gentler perspective on raising their children (Cruz has a big sister, Mia, who was born in November 2005, and a little sister, Ava, born in October 2010). Now Cruz is shaping up to be a more well-rounded individual compared to his highly-pressured dad, thanks to Bec's belief that life should not solely revolve around tennis.

Bec serves as a calming influence on Cruz, just as she does with their daughters Mia and Ava. Her aspiration for her son is to have him look up to players like Roger Federer, who epitomise true champions both on and off the court. What matters most to Bec is ensuring that Cruz's mental health is as robust as his tennis skills, and she is determined not to push him too hard in pursuit of success.

The talented young athlete has inherited more than just his 42-year-old father's formidable two-handed backhand. When asked about his most recent victory, Cruz confidently remarked to local media: "I'm pretty stoked about getting that win because I had to come from behind. I was fired up, to be honest… It's cool getting to go to different places like here in Darwin, and it's a lot of fun. But I came here to test myself at this level against some older players and see how I fare."

He playfully added, "I also get to miss school today because I won, so that's even better!"

With the entire tennis world closely observing Cruz's every move, the question now arises: Can he break one of his father's longest-standing records? An insider shared, "Lleyton, who these days balances family life with coaching and commentary commitments, first qualified for the 1997 Australian Open at the tender age of 15 years and 11 months, becoming the youngest in the tournament's history.

"He went on to win the 2001 US Open and the 2002 Wimbledon. There's no reason Cruz, who exudes more confidence than most kids his age on the circuit, can't achieve the same over the next few months."

The insider shared, "When Cruz was seven, Lleyton expressed hope that his son would make the main draw at 14. While Bec knows he was simply dreaming big for his son, she wants to shield her boy from excessive pressure and offer unwavering support, win or lose."

Images: Instagram

"Divinely gifted" Mamma Mia star passes away aged 40

Broadway luminary Chris Peluso, renowned for his roles in acclaimed productions like Mamma Mia! and Wicked, has passed away at the age of 40.

In the period preceding his demise, Peluso reportedly grappled with Schizoaffective disorder, a mental health condition characterised by hallucinations and a fusion of symptoms from both bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

The University of Michigan paid homage to Peluso on their musical theatre department's webpage, confirming the sorrowful news, given his previous attendance as a student. Linda Goodrich, interim chair, conveyed: "The Michigan Musical Theatre family is heartbroken as we announce the passing of our dear family member/alum, the loving, charismatic, and divinely gifted Chris Peluso."

Goodrich added: "Chris appeared on Broadway in Mamma Mia!, Assasins, Lestat, The Glorious Ones and Beautiful, played Fiyero on tour in Wicked and starred in London in Miss Saigon and Showboat. Our hearts go out to his family."

He leaves behind his wife Jessica Gomes and their two children.

In the preceding year, friends of Peluso established a GoFundMe page, detailing his inability to perform due to his mental health struggles and battle with Schizoaffective disorder.

They beseeched fans to contribute towards his medical expenses in the United States. The page noted that "in recent months, the paranoia has consumed him to the extent that he is unable to work any job and has had to leave his wife and young child and return to America to seek treatment."

"Chris has no health care insurance in the US and was recently hospitalised for about two weeks. Currently, he is seeking treatment at an inpatient mental health rehabilitation centre."

"In his own words, 'Hopefully this helps bring some awareness to how so many suffer from mental illness in silence. You never know what someone may be going through. Be kind to each other.'"

In a November update shared on the same page, Peluso extended his gratitude to fans for their "incredible generosity" and donations, sharing that he was "doing well".

"Hi guys! Thanks so much again for your incredible generosity! I'm very pleased to say that I completed the in-patient treatment facility in Tennessee and have been stable and doing well," he said.

"The new medication I'm on works well to keep my symptoms in check and has minimal side effects. I'm able to hold down a job again and even began taping some auditions."

He added: "It's going to be a lifelong process of going to therapy and working with doctors but I'm so much better than I was before treatment. It really means the world to me to have such incredible support from you all. None of this progress would have been possible without you."

A sum of USD $25,000 was raised on behalf of the now-departed star.

Images: Instgram

Mamma Mia! 3 receives confident update from producer

Mamma Mia! Here we go again!

Judy Craymer, the creator and producer of the beloved musical comedies, has revealed there could be a third instalment.

In an interview with Deadline, discussing the Mamma Mia! I have a Dream talent show on ITV, Craymer shared a confident Mamma Mia! 3 update.

"It’s in its earliest stages... I don’t want to over-egg it, but I know there’s a trilogy there. There is a story there, and I do think Meryl should come back — and if the script is right, she would, I think, because she really loved playing Donna,” she said.

Craymer’s comments come after a long line of remarks made about a possible third movie, with her saying in 2020 that it was always "meant to be a trilogy."

Even though the producer said it's in the early stages of development, it’s unclear when there will be an official announcement from Universal.

Familiar faces Stellan Skarsgård, Christine Baranski, Lily James, Dominic Cooper, Colin Firth, and Pierce Brosnan have all expressed interest in returning to reprise their respective roles.

Craymer also revealed in her interview that she has come up with a way to bring back all the franchise’s favourite characters, including the iconic Meryl Streep.

Bringing back every member of the franchise’s massive ensemble cast might be why the third instalment has made little progress in recent years, but Craymer remains confident that the next instalment will go ahead.

Couple makes winning profit selling home to Lleyton and Bec Hewitt

A Queensland couple has made a hefty $550,000 after selling their Burleigh Heads home to tennis superstar Lleyton Hewitt and his wife Bec - having lived in the home for just five weeks.

Katie and Jeremy Langston bought ‘The Palms’ at auction in May 2021, paying $3.75 million for one of the state’s most photographed homes.

But, the couple put the four-bedroom mansion back on the market just months later for $4.3 million after realising they wanted to move back to Koala Park.

Within six days of the home hitting the market once again, marketing co-agents Conal Martin of Kingfisher Realty and Harcourts Coastal agent Ed Cherry had received eight offers.

“We only lived in it for about five weeks,” Mr Langston told realestate.com.au.

“We moved out before we put it on the market. Even though we were living in Queensland's home of the year [for] 2021, we were homesick for Koala Park, so we found the perfect location in the same street we lived in previously and sold The Palms to the Hewitts.”

Though they walked away with a handsome sum after the Hewitts spent $4.305 million to snap up the home, Mr Langston said it wasn’t about the money at all.

“We thought ‘we can have our dream house anywhere’ and this is not where we wanted it,” he said.

“We wanted to be in Koala Park and so we are building a beautiful house there now.

“We engaged the builder of The Palms, JG Design and Construct, and have just finalised the plans to build our dream home in the area we love.”

The Langston’s former home has been the subject of a fair amount of publicity, having the process of building documented on Instagram before it became the most viewed house in Australia after it was first listed for sale in May 2021.

Originally sold fully furnished, the home boasted luxe features including a sunken fireplace, glass-edged pool and outdoor kitchen in the entertaining area, as well as Italian terrazzo tiles, stone feature walls, custom brass fittings and Harbour American oak flooring.

Image: Getty Images

See inside Lleyton Hewitt’s coastal escape

Like thousands of other Aussies, Lleyton and Bec Hewitt made the migration from the country’s southern capitals to sunny Queensland - and it wasn’t long until they snapped up a new coastal home.

The former world number one made the move with his family last year, at the same time as he was due to be inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame (ITHF).

“Hewitt’s induction celebrations were deferred to 2022 due to travel restrictions,” a statement from ITHF read.

Having finally received the prestigious award on Saturday (Eastern Time), the tennis legend and his family will be returning to their Gold Coast home they secured for a hefty $4.305 million in September last year.

The home, which had been sold just three months prior for $3.75 million, is in the heart of cosmopolitan Burleigh Heads and boasts plenty of luxe features.

Conal Martin, the listing agent for Kingfisher Realty Burleigh Heads who sold the home prior to the Hewitts purchasing it, describes it as having a Palm Springs coastal design with irrigated greenery, natural stone feature walls and an open plan that flows from inside to outside and sold it as a “place where you can escape the bustle of everyday life”.

“Spend your summer nights by the outdoor kitchen, BBQ and beer fridge, watching your family play in the pool through the custom infinity glass pool window or around the fire roasting marshmallows on those cosier winter nights,” the listing reads.

Inside, the home features timber flooring, high ceilings, a wine cellar, three ensuite bedrooms, and a media room or second living space with stunning hinterland views.

Though it doesn’t come with a tennis court, the home is just a short walk from the famed Burleigh Beach and the area’s buzzing restaurant and bar scene.

According to the ITHF, Hewitt will be the 34th Australian to be entered into the Hall of Fame, describing it as the “ultimate honour” in tennis.

“Induction into the International Tennis Hall of Fame is tennis’ ultimate honour, representing the sum of a person’s accomplishments as being among the greatest and most impactful in sport’s history,” the statement read.

“Just 267 athletes and contributors from throughout tennis history have received this honour.”

In a speech during the ceremony, Hewitt said it was an “incredible honour” made all the more special by having his family and friends with him on the court in Newport, Rhode Island, where he won his first ATP grass court match 24 years ago.

“To think where it all began for me on junior tennis courts in the middle of nowhere in Adelaide in Australia, with no one watching, no TV cameras, and then to make the full tennis journey and actually now be coming into the Hall of Fame,” he said.

“For me, this is such a special place here in Newport.”

Images: Getty Images, realestate.com.au

Lleyton Hewitt's huge career moment

Lleyton Hewitt has taken his place among legends as the two-time Grand Slam champion was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

The 41-year-old was joined by his wife Bec and three children, Mia, Ava and Cruz, as he was presented with the prestigious award in a ceremony that was delayed due to Covid.

The tennis champ from Adelaide was unable to travel to the Hall of Fame last year from Australia so his induction was postponed for a year and staged after Saturday’s ATP Hall of Fame Open semi-finals in the US.

Coincidentally, the ceremony was staged on the court where Hewitt won his first ATP grass court match as a teen in 1998.

“I think I needed that extra year to come up with some proper words,” Hewitt said in a speech.

“This is an incredible honour for me. It has made it all the more special to be able to have my family and friends here.”

“To think where it all began for me on junior tennis courts in the middle of nowhere in Adelaide in Australia, with no one watching, no TV cameras, and then to make the full tennis journey and actually now be coming into the Hall of Fame. For me, this is such a special place here in Newport,” he said.

Lleyton was honoured for his extraordinary career, as he won the 2001 US Open and 2002 Wimbledon titles among 30 career ATP triumphs and helped Australia capture the Davis Cup in 1999 and 2003.

Hewitt was a year-end world number one in 2001 and 2002 and his intense emotion combined with speed and skilled shotmaking made him a threat on any surface, great shots usually followed by the scream, “Come on.”

Hewitt finished with a career record of 616-262 in ATP singles play.

Bec and Lleyton Hewitt sell Toorak mansion

Bec and Lleyton Hewitt’s Toorak mansion has sold less than a month after hitting the market.

Jellis Craig Stonnington listing agent Phillip French confirmed to the Herald Sun that a Toorak-based family bought the home, located at 34 Heyington Place, but he could not reveal the sale price. The house was listed for $15-16 million, and the Sun understands it sold for within that range.

Mr French said that the buyers had competed with parties from interstate and overseas, as well as local buyers from affluent suburbs like Hawthorn and Kew, to nab the house. He added that buyers were drawn by the living and entertaining spaces available in the five-bedroom, seven-bathroom residence, as well as the bedrooms, the pool, the 1800-bottle wine cellar, the 12-seat home theatre, the home gym, and the location.

“There are some very good buyers around at the moment, and there’s a little bit of a shortage of high-end properties [for sale]. [The property] was very well viewed online, but also there was quite good genuine interest in it,” Mr French said.

The sale comes less than a month after the couple purchased a $4.305 million home in the Gold Coast suburb of Burleigh Heads. While waiting to move into their new home, The Palms, the couple and their children were renting Burleigh Beach Bungalow. The owners said they were surprised that the Hewitts wanted to rent their property, telling the Gold Coast Bulletin, “They loved it as well, which was nice. You get worried as it’s your own house.”

The Hewitt’s new home, the Palms, is often described as “Queensland’s most photographed home”, and it last sold in May for $555,000 less than the famous couple paid for it.

The Hewitts bought the Toorak home in 2016 while it was under construction, paying $12.7 million for the property. They then worked with architect Christopher Doyle and builder Peter Johnston of Royale Construction to add some personal touches.

The home boasts ensuites for each of the five bedrooms and a six-car garage in addition to a home gym, pool, and home theatre. Other amenities include an in-built trampoline, basketball hoop, and astro turf with a Rebound Ace tennis surface.

Mr French described it as a “real entertainer’s home”.

Image: realestate.com.au

Nine top Aussie camp sites - with a view

While it may be off our radar right now, travelling around Australia will be back soon and who doesn't want to fall asleep under a blanket of stars and wake to some of the best views in the country? So, take a look here at our top nine Aussie camp sites.

Australia really is the lucky country. Every state and territory is home to a diverse range of rich scenic grandeur an it’s ready to inspire us. The great thing about camping is it gives you the best seat in the house to enjoy the wonder of it all. Here you’ll find our picks of the top 9 camping and caravanning campsites with a view.

Alpaca Magic Stud, Sutton, NSW

Canberrans, this one is for you. While this campsite is technically located just across the ACT border in NSW, it’s only a 30-minute drive from the Canberra CBD. And you’ll be warmly welcomed by fields of alpacas, llamas, donkeys, and miniature cattle studs.

The site is suitable for self-sufficient campers – which means BYO water, toilet and shower amenities – who leave no trace.

Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort, Monkey Mia, WA

Monkey Mia is one of those rare places in Australia where dolphin visitation is daily, rather than seasonal, and the Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort offers a human-dolphin interaction program for free. This absolute beachfront camping resort is in the heart of the Shark Bay World Heritage Area. Spend your day’s snorkelling or boating in crystal clear waters, partaking in a camel ride or an Aboriginal Cultural Walk.

First Sun Caravan Park, Byron Bay, NSW

Cape Byron is the most easterly point of Australia’s mainland, and First Sun Caravan Park reaps the benefits of its plum position on the foreshore of Byron Bay’s main beach. Let’s just say you’re guaranteed to be the first to witness the sun each day.

For the most part, guests are also treated to unobstructed views of the ocean with sites located right alongside the beach. Yet, you’re also within strolling distance to all the major attractions.

Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, NT

With its remote desert location, deep cultural significance and spectacular natural beauty, Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park is home to one of Australia’s most unforgettable attractions – and, without a doubt, offers one of the best campsite views in the world.

Due to Uluru’s cultural importance to the local Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjatjara people, the closest you can camp is 15 kilometres away in Yulara at the Ayers Rock Campground. But don’t worry, it isn’t called The Rock for no reason, you will still be treated to jaw-dropping views from this distance.

In addition to its grassy campsites, you’ll also have access to a swimming pool and it’s a great place to base yourself to explore the park’s numerous walking tracks, rockpools and Aboriginal rock art sites. It’s worth allowing a couple of days to explore and observe the changing moods of the Rock.

Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary, Flinders Ranges, SA

The rugged mountains which rise above grassy plains to form the Flinders Ranges are more than 600 million years old. The Aboriginal Dreamtime stories that tell the tale of how this area was created have been passed down between generations for more than 40,000 years.

In the northern part of this epic location, you’ll find Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary. Its campsites deliver some of Australia’s most spectacular mountain views and offer numerous eco-tourism-accredited guided tours.

Whether you love birdwatching, bushwalking, geology, wildlife spotting or 4WD adventures, this wilderness sanctuary offers a multitude of activities for the outdoor enthusiast. They even have three fully equipped observatories, so you can get an even closer look at the incalculable number of stars at night.

Pitch a tent among 600 million-year-old relics.

Lucky Bay National Park, WA

Gone are the days of paying top dollar to sit around an overcrowded resort because yes - your own personal paradise awaits you at Lucky Bay.

You’ll find Lucky Bay just past Esperance in WA’s far south, and the campsites, which are situated almost on top of the sand, couldn’t offer more luxurious views: lush, turquoise waters lapping at gloriously white sand, a dramatic framing of rocky outcrops and beach-going kangaroos lazing about in the sunshine (yes, really).

Swim, fish or opt for a bushwalk on one of the many trails that wind through the park past freshwater pools and a dazzling blanket of wildflowers (if you happen to be there in spring).

Green Patch, Jervis Bay, NSW

The campsites at Green Patch book out months in advance, so you do need to book ahead. You’ll find Green Patch tucked away in Booderee National Park in Jervis Bay on the NSW South Coast. The lucky few who get in early can expect white sandy beaches, crystal clear water, and kangaroos bounding in the distance.

The neighbouring beaches are perfect for swimming and sun-worshipping, while nearby bushwalking trails deliver several shaded picnic spots to sit and enjoy a meal with a view.

Bathrooms, hot showers and water are all in ready supply, as are barbecues and wood fireplaces – so bring plenty of supplies for a barbie under the stars and a night-time bonfire. And don’t forget the wine.

Jan Juc Caravan Park, Great Ocean Road, Vic

Considered to be one of the world’s most scenic coastal drives, Victoria’s Great Ocean Road gives you the opportunity to see the iconic 12 Apostles, get up close to native wildlife, and take in iconic surf breaks, pristine rainforests and misty waterfalls.

The natural beauty of this area draws visitors from far and wide. To truly drink in the stunning scenery, pitch a tent at the Jan Juc Caravan Park. And if you also want to check out the world-famous Bells Beach surf break, the park is as close as you can sleep to the action. There are barbecues, powered and unpowered campsites and cabins available.

Freycinet National Park, Tas

It’s no secret that Freycinet National Park is home to some of Tasmania’s most incredible camping spots, which may explain why you have to enter a ballot system to camp during peak times (Easter and Christmas).

Pitch a tent here to wake to breathtaking ocean views. Your days will be spent exploring the beautiful bays: Honeymoon Bay, Sleepy Bay and Wineglass Bay – with the panoramic views of wondrous Wineglass Bay the main drawcard for visitors.

The views on offer at Alpaca Magic Stud are essentially in the name – fields upon fields of peacefully grazing animals. But if the view alone isn’t enough to entice you, book into one of the many workshops on offer: Conversations with Cows, Breakfast with the Alpacas & Llamas, Needle Felt workshops, Fleece Spinning workshops, and the very popular Llama Walking Experience.

Images: Getty Images

Bec and Lleyton Hewitt’s kids are growing up fast

Celebrity offspring are not too often in the public eye, and for many years this included the three children of Australian power couple Lleyton and Bec Hewitt.

However, the three little tykes we used to see running around during their dad’s high-profile tennis matches are not so little anymore, and each are paving their own path to greatness just like their parents did.

Here is what the brilliant Hewitt kids are up to now.

Mia

Mia is a spitting image of her tennis star dad, but it seems like the 15-year-old has taken after her mother and wants to pursue a career in fashion and modelling.

Back in Bec’s heyday, it was normal to see the Aussie starlet gracing our TV screens, and it seems like Mia is not far behind her mother as she aims to take over runways across the globe.

The eldest child of Bec and Lleyton is a fashion icon in her own right, with her mum labelling Mia as her fashion muse.

"Happy Birthday to my style icon! @miarebeccaofficial," the proud mum wrote an Instagram post last year.
