Extraordinary winners of the 2025 Sony World Photography Awards

From fiery volcanoes and busy cities, to extraordinary mountains and underwater adventures, the winners of the 2025 Sony World Photography Awards have been announced. 

Over 419,000 images from more than 200 countries and territories were submitted to the 2025 contest overall, this year's awards "celebrate a great diversity of visual storytelling from across the globe".

The National and Regional Awards program was set up by Sony and the World Photography Organisation to support "local photographic communities around the world", with the program winners capturing moments of a "crash-landing" penguin in Antarctica, a lava-streaked volcano in Indonesia and an underwater cave on a South Korean island. 

The Sony World Photography Awards exhibition featuring awarded works will take place in London between April 17th and May 5th.
