Can you spot what's wrong with this photo of Scott Morrison and his family?
Scott Morrison has updated the Prime Minister of Australia’s website with a lovely photo of him and his family relaxing with their dog.
Sounds sweet, right?
All was going well until an eagle-eyed Australian spotted this mistake.
#auspol story of 2019: our latest PM (ScoMo) had nice white shoes photoshopped onto his feet for his official https://t.co/eXNtcX7xTa site?! Yup. Regular bloke. Our tax dollars hard at work. #shoegate pic.twitter.com/kA0gG0yy9L

As it turns out, Morrison had his shoes photoshopped to nice white shoes. However, if you look even closer, you’ll soon realise that they haven’t even been photoshopped onto the Prime Minister’s feet. They hover above.
It’s clear that the staff at the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet felt that the white shoes were a better look, but if you’re going to change something as simple as his shoes, a better job might need to be done.
It also doesn’t help that the photoshopped shoes in question appear to be two left feet.
There was so much attention brought to what many are calling ‘SHOEGATE’ in jest, the Prime Minister himself felt the need to address it.
Scott Morrison posted on his Twitter:
“Message to my Department (PM&C): I didn’t ask for the shoeshine, but if you must Photoshop, please focus on the hair (lack thereof), not the feet!
"Here they are in all their glory – my footwear of choice whenever I can get out of a suit.”
A statement from the Prime Minister’s office to news.com.au said:
“The white shoes photo was doctored by the PM&C department (Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet) without the knowledge of, or the authorisation from, the PM or the PM’s office.
“The PM’s office has asked the department to replace the photo with the original.”
Would you have noticed the Prime Minister’s interesting Photoshop job on his website? Do you prefer the photoshopped shoes or the original shoes? Let us know in the comments.
