What we know about the next Indiana Jones film
For all you action lovers, the archaeologist is back! After several years of speculation and a whole lot of deep digging, Indiana Jones 5 is set to hit the big screen but it looks like everyone’s favourite Indiana, Harrison Ford, might not be returning to play the lead role this time around.
Ford said “Oh, yeah. Yeah, I’d love to do another Indiana Jones. A character that has a history and a potential, kind of a rollicking good movie ride for the audience, Steven Spielberg as a director — what’s not to like?”
If you dig around deep enough, there are rumours, that the Guardians of the Galaxy star, Chris Pratt, could become the newest man to don the famous whip and hat and leather jacket.
The most recent big screen digging adventure, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, wasn’t overly popular with critics. The fourth film in the series managed to gross more than $786 million worldwide when it was released in 2008.
George Lucas has previously hinted plans were underway for a fifth cinematic adventure. Following Lucas’ retirement and the sale of Lucasfilm to Walt Disney Pictures, die hard fans are going to have to put your hats on the rack and keep your whips inside until further details are unleashed.
Do you think Harrison Ford should return to play Indiana Jones again?
