The moment you missed on Sunrise – shock tantrum live on air
A four-year-old Ed Sheeran fan threw a tantrum on Sunrise yesterday morning.
The flame-haired boy Josh Cooper was at the Ed Sheeran pop-up store in Sydney on Wednesday morning where Sunrise presenter Sam Mac was doing his weather reports.
The little mega-fan was more than happy to mimic his idol’s movements and performed in the background during Sam Mac’s lives crosses.
But things soon took a sour turn when the Channel Seven presenter tried to give the youngster a free Ed Sheeran hat, placing it on his head as he was performing.
Sam Mc soon learnt you do not interrupted a performer in a middle of set.
Josh immediately dropped his guitar and ripped the hat off his head, throwing it away.
A surprised Sam Mac picked up the hat and put it on Josh’s microphone stand, but once again the boy was less than impressed and chucked the hat away.
“It’s a rock star tantrum,” Sam Armytage said as she watched Josh’s behaviour from the Sunrise studio.

Speaking to news.com.au about the segment, Sam Mac said, “what a little legend. Rock n Roll ‘til the end. I guess I broke rule No. 1 of dealing with a global superstar — under no circumstances do you ever touch the hair”.
Josh will have a chance to see his idol perform live at ANZ Stadion in NSW as part of the Ed Sheeran’s Divide Tour.
