“Don’t say that!”: Sam Mac's shock outburst on Sunrise

Sam Mac has shocked Sunrise viewers after he swore live on air.

The weatherman attempted to ride a camel for a segment on the family-friendly breakfast show when he let a not-so-family-friendly word slip.

Sam can be seen climbing aboard the giant camel, when the animal suddenly lurched to its feet, leaving the TV presenter struggling to stay in the saddle.

Sam momentarily forgot he was live on air, yelling “Oh, sh*t! Oh, Sh*t, before regaining his composure.
Meanwhile, Sunrise co-hosts David Koch and Natalie Barr, who were doing the live cross with Sam, were left speechless.

“Don't say that!” Natalie said on hearing Sam's unscripted outburst, while Kochie watched with his jaw on the floor.

“You try getting thrown around on a camel,” Sam remarked.

Sam shared a clip of the potty mouth slip-up on Instagram,

“Uh-oh…my language has upset Mum & Dad,” the weatherman wrote.

The internet, however, were quick to defend Sam in the comments.

“Love it. Don’t stop being you,” one fan commented.

“So funny. I’m glad it wasn’t me. I would have said more than sh*t,’"wrote another.

“Love it,' another said. “You are the reason I watch Sunrise.”

It comes after the beloved weatherman was announced as a presenter for Channel Seven’s Sydney Weekender in January 2023.

Sam was announced as the new host of the popular travel show where he will be taking viewers on tours across his home state of New South Wales.

“It's such an iconic show with a passionate fan base, who love discovering the hottest spots to visit. I can't wait to take my partner and baby on some of these wild adventures," he said in a statement.
