Baby joy! Eva Longoria is pregnant with her first child
Former Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria is pregnant with her first child with husband José Antonio “Pepe” Bastón.
The 42-year-old actress is four months along with her baby, which is a boy.
Longoria married her husband, who is president of Televisa – the largest media company in Latin America – in May 2016 in a stunning ceremony in Mexico. The pair first started dating in 2013 and were engaged in Dubai in December 2015.
In May, the couple celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary while they attended the Cannes Film Festival.
“I never thought I would get married again. It’s him, he makes it all worth it,” Longoria, who has been previously married twice, told PEOPLE.
“I’m not a fan of marriage; I like being married to him,” she added. “He surprised me at dinner with a beautiful gift and a song and a singer ... it was just amazing.”
In 2015, Longoria opened up about the possibility of having children following her engagement announcement.
“I just turned 40, so I have thought, ‘Is time running out?’” Longoria said. “I should be thinking about [children], but I feel like my life is full.”
Though this child is the first for Longoria, the baby boy will have older sibling’s looking out for him as Bastón has three children from a previous marriage – 22-year-old daughter Natalia and 14-year-old twins Mariana and Jose.
“They’ve been such a gift in my life," Longoria said of Bastón’s kids in 2015.
She explained that a baby wasn’t a must-have for the new family but one with her husband would be “icing on the cake.”
“I don’t feel like we are lacking because we don’t have a baby,” she added.
The couple were recently seen attending Serena William’s wedding to Alexis Ohanian in November in New Orleans.
