Kochie’s brutal swipe at Kyle Sandilands
Sunrise host David 'Kochie' Koch has thrown a subtle but pointed swipe at Kyle Sandilands live on air, after revealing he was not invited to the radio star’s 50th birthday party.
The presenter came on to The Kyle and Jackie O show earlier this week and had been complimenting Kyle on “how good he looked” in the photos from his birthday bash.
He went on to admit he was shocked he didn't get an invite.
"I only saw the photos," Kochie said, pointing out that the TV executive Michael Pell and rival breakfast show host Karl Stefanovic were even there.
"Oh no," Jackie O said in response.
"I see where this is headed".
Kochie went on to say: "I had a present, I even went to the junk folder in my email [to look for an invite]."
But Kyle was quick to defend himself, saying a majority of the “surprise” party was organised for him.
"Look, I'm going to get ahead of this one," he told Kochie.
"I didn't know the guest list, I wasn't sure and there was plenty of people who were massively offended they weren't invited," he added, with Jackie "backing him up".
"How did Ben Fordham get invited, that's what I want to know," Kyle went on to joke.
Kyle celebrated his milestone 50th birthday surrounded by his star-stuffed guests, on a $3000-per-house superyacht back in June.
The dress code for the festivities was to “add a touch of gold.”
Some of the guests included The Voice Australia coach Guy Sebastian, former NRL player Beau Ryan, Samantha Jade, and boxing star Jeff Fenech.
Kyle's radio rival Ben Fordham is also said to have been in attendance at the party.
The yacht was decorated with hundreds of black and gold balloons.
Another photo showed Kyle's three-tiered black and gold birthday cake - complete with crown.
