Surprise golden replacement for Karl Stefanovic
Karl Stefanovic turned 50 last week and his birthday celebrations are still going, with the Today host takin some well-deserved time off to spend some quality time with his family.
Sports presenter Alex Cullen filled in for Stefanovic alongside Sarah Abo, which meant that someone needed to cover the latest sports news, and what better replacement than 3X Olympic Gold medallist Jess Fox.
"It's great to be here, thanks for having me," the 30-year-old said.
The Olympian, nailed delivering the latest sporting news to Aussie viewers, who did not expect the world champion canoeist to appear on the show.
After presenting the latest sporting news, the Today show co-hosts Abo and Cullen praised her for a job "well done".
Weather presenter Tim Davies, was also impressed with her delivery, and even joked about having her present the weather with him.
'It's a very good morning, bright and early for all of us after the Logies, I'm just wondering, actually, if Jess wants to come and do the weather for me today as well, I'm totally okay with that," Davies said.
