Who will replace Johanna Griggs as House Rules host?

Months after Johanna Griggs announced her departure from House Rules, Channel 7 has reportedly made a decision on who will take over as the program’s host.

TV Blackbox reported that the hosting role will be given to Jamie Durie, who joined the show in season 7 as a judge.

According to the outlet, Carolyn Burns-McCrave will also join Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen as a full-time judge, replacing Wendy Moore. The line-up is allegedly set to be confirmed later this month.

Channel 7 declined to comment on the report.

Griggs announced in late July that she had left the renovation show after seven seasons. “After a great deal of consideration, I recently sat down with the Network to ask to be allowed to step down as Host of House Rules,” she wrote on an Instagram post.

“As the show goes into preproduction for the next season, it’s the perfect time to hand over the role to someone who will take the show into S8.”

Last week, Moore also announced on Instagram that she will be leaving the program to focus on her role as head of Foxtel’s Lifestyle channels.

“I have made so many friends, seen so many parts of Australia and learnt so much that I will always be grateful to Channel Seven for,” Moore wrote.

“Of course it’s always sad to see the end of such a great experience, I guess you could call this the #sevenyearitch – it’s definitely time.”
