The Block billionaire's generous Christmas stunt

The Block billionaire Adrian Portelli, who splashed out a whopping $15 million in the show's latest auctions, is giving back to those in need this festive season with a generous act.

The entrepreneur is on a mission to help people ahead of the holidays by giving away $150,000 worth of grocery vouchers in Sydney.

Kicking off the stunt in the suburb of Penrith, Portelli was welcomed to the shopping centre by hundreds of fans who were waiting for their chance at free Coles shopping, with many lining up from as early as 4am.

Moving on from Penrith, Portelli also visited the suburb of Fairfield West to continue giving back to those in need.

"We don't contact the media, we just come out here," Portelli told Nine News as he arrived in Penrith. "We've been doing this for a long time. We've done it in multiple states, so it's the least we can do if we can get out there and share."

Portelli also took to Instagram to share the details of a pit-stop he made while in Penrith, visiting two acres of land he has purchased to build a hospital.

"We're building a hospital for high physical needs patients," he said in the clip. "It's going to be a really fun project and, apparently, there is a shortage in this area for those in need."
