"DaddyMac's" incredible transformation

Sam Mac has shared the gruelling health and fitness journey he has been on for the last two months, finally unveiling his "secret project".

The Sunrise weather presenter shocked his co-hosts on Friday morning's show by revealing his buffed-up body on the cover of Men’s Health magazine.

“We’ve got some big news,” he said during the weather segment.

“A lot of our viewers have been writing to me over the past weeks asking ‘Have you lost weight - what’s going on?’”

“Yes I have lost weight, I’ve been training for the last two months, and I can reveal that I’m on the cover of Men’s Health magazine.”

His co-hosts were quick to sing his praise, with Matt Shirvington saying "You look good!", to which Mac admitted, "It was really hard."

“Basically you become the most boring human - no alcohol, no sugar, no bread, no pasta, no pizza... all the good stuff”.

“But it’s all worth it because what a challenge it was and I’m really proud to share this story.”

“You can be interesting now,” Nat joked as the segment wrapped.

Sam also shared his transformation on Instagram, sharing just how much he had transformed his body in eight short weeks.

Sharing the cover of the magazine, that included his "before" photo, Mac wrote, "Wowsers! That’s really me! 😳".

"I’m absolutely honoured to grace the cover of @menshealthau🙌🏼 & absolutely gutted they included my “before” shot on that same cover 😔 (gutted being the appropriate term)."

"The magazine is officially in stores on Monday, but in the meantime, take a breath & enjoy a little taste of #DaddyMac😎".

Comments of praise for this lifestyle overhaul flooded the post, with many congratulating the weatherman on his new look.

His Sunrise co-host Edwina Bartholomew commented, "I would like to say ‘hot’ but that would be especially weird so I’ll go with ‘well done’," while Dr Chris Brown chimed in, Well done mate. Awesome effort. The new Magic Mac film in cinemas soon…"
