Spain’s National Ballet dances with Parkinson’s patients

This year marks two centuries since Parkinson’s was first recognised as a health condition, and every year on April 11 – World Parkinson’s Day – the world unites to help raise awareness for this debilitating and heartbreaking disease.

In Spain, a group of ballet dancers from the Ballet Nacional de España spent some quality time with a few special guest dancers at their studios in Madrid – Parkinson’s patients.

“It was a real pleasure for us to dance with them in this special day,” the National Ballet wrote on Facebook. It just goes to show, disability doesn’t have to be a barrier to getting out there in the world and having some fun.
