Family's double tragedy as mum dies mid eulogy
A family has suffered a "terrible blow" after losing two family members so close to each other.
Sarah Healey, 39, was speaking at her father-in-law's funeral in Surrey, England in November when she “suddenly collapsed” to the shock of her loved ones.
The mother-of-three is believed to have suffered a cardiac arrest, and now devastated family members have to deal with the loss of two of their loved ones.
“It was a terrible blow to our family,” Sarah's mother, Gladys Healey told The Leader this week.
“It was a blow to her partner, who had just lost his own father.
“It was a blow to the three young children left behind and it was a blow to Dave, I and Sarah’s younger sister, Trisha, who was at the ceremony with us.”
Her mother added that their lives will “never be the same” following the tragedy.
Sarah had no history of heart trouble and was a nurse who had just opened her own clinic in Windsor.
Her heartbroken sister, Trisha, who had an "extremely close bond" with Sarah described her death as "the hardest thing I have ever experienced”.
“Life will never be the same but I find planning things with friends, talking and crying when you need to with no shame has helped,” she said.
Sarah is survived by her partner James West and her three children aged 16, seven and six.
