The royal family are sending out thank you cards to royal fans who sent in their condolences after the loss of Prince Philip, 99.

The Prince of Wales was one who issued replies to people who had offered their condolences on the passing of his father.

Prince Charles chose a sweet photo of Prince Philip and himself in a small boat with his father in Cowes.

"The Prince of Wales thanks you so much for your very kind message of sympathy," the accompanying message read.

"His Royal Highness has been enormously touched by the many generous messages that have been received in recent days; they have provided great comfort at this very sad time."

It concluded, "The Prince of Wales sends you his warmest thanks and best wishes."

The card was shared by royal fan Lisa on Instagram in reply to a card she had sent to Clarence House.
