Dry-brushing: the DIY beauty secret for radiant skin
While everyone wants to look their best, in an effort to do so you can end up spending a pretty penny. Well, it doesn’t have to be that way. Forget the pricey body scrubs and full-body wraps – here’s the secret to finding your radiance at home in a few minutes a day.
It will comes as no surprise that when it comes to beauty regimes, we spend a lot of time attending to the neck up but your skin below the neck needs love, too. If you do this total-body dry-brushing routine once a day, it will make a huge difference in your circulation. Furthermore, dry brushes are inexpensive and you can find them at most supermarkets and pharmacies.
What does it do, exactly? Working a firm-bristle brush over your entire body encourages proper blood flow and improves your circulation.
Dry-brushing how to:
1. Before hopping in the shower or bath, grab a dry brush and start at the tops of your feet, working your way up your body and brushing with long, straight strokes in the direction of your heart, keeping the pressure light.
2. Each stroke should take about two seconds, and you'll need only about four strokes per section of your body.
3. Skip your neck, décolletage and face, as the thin skin on these areas is too delicate for this kind of brushing.
