Julie Bishop reveals working-from-home outfits

Former foreign minister Julie Bishop has shared a glimpse into her outfits for working from home amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The 63-year-old took to Instagram on Sunday to post a split-screen photograph of her outfits for audio and video calls at her Perth home.

“Working from home Covid-style - audio v video,” the former Liberal deputy leader wrote in the caption.

During the audio call, Bishop wore her fitness gear with a pair of Apple Airpods. But on the conference video call, Bishop dressed up with a silver high-necked Meraki gown, a pair of Margot McKinney earrings, and pink Louis Vuitton sneakers.

“In the early days of isolation people were doing it by audio, so I’m in my pyjamas and running gear,” Bishop told Sunrise on Monday morning.

“And then suddenly we introduced the world of Zoom and Microsoft Teams and Webex suddenly you’ve got to frock up.

“So from the waist up I’m looking fabulous and down below just whatever.”

After retiring from politics last year, Bishop has taken up a new role as the chancellor at the Australian National University. She has also been appointed to the board of international consultancy firm Palladium.
