Shane Warne shares bittersweet family news
The Aussie cricket legend posted a sweet photo of children Brooke, Jackson and Summer after the latter finished her schooling.
“Wow. What a day!!!” Warne wrote in an Instagram story.
“All three of my beautiful children have now completed year 12.
“Which means no more school fees, drop offs, pick ups and fighting for a car park, parent teacher nights, sports all over melb x 3 on weekends, school plays, events, making lunches, sports gear, blazer and being a taxi – oh and an ATM.”
Warne admitted that despite the jokes, it was a bittersweet moment for him.
“Sort of sad too as they were fun times & will be great memories for all of us,” he said.
“So proud of the young awesome adults you’ve become @brookewarne @jacksonwarne18 @summerwarne!! Love dad.”
Warne shares three children with his ex-wife Simone Callahan; son Jackson, 21, and daughters Brooke, 22, and Summer, 19.
In May the 51-year-old opened up about failing his family with his off-field indiscretions throughout his career.
“I’m not proud of all of my decisions,” Warne told Fox Sports.
“I made some horrible mistakes and choices with things.
“But I was always true to myself and that’s what I’m proud of today.
“Some of the things were really hard to take.
“I let my family down, I embarrassed my children ... but that’s something I have to live with.
“But for all of those bad choices I’ve also been very proud of all the good things I’ve done.
“I’ve done a lot of good things but sometimes people like to harp on about the bad things because it’s a better headline.”
