The surprising place you should be storing your perfume
Most people like displaying their bottles of perfumes in the bedroom or bathroom, often in plain sight, but it’s not the best place for them.
In fact, due to the chemical make up of fragrances, the best place to store them is the fridge.
“To prolong the scent of your favourite fragrance, sometimes it is best to store them in a refrigerator,” advises Vlatka Lake, a storage expert from Space Station.
“Many of us keep our prized perfume collection on display on our dressing tables, but perfumes and colognes with high oil concentrates can break down over time when exposed to light and heat.
“Remember to always keep fragrances away from windowsills and bathrooms.
“And if your fridge is full, a dry, cold storage cupboard is just as good.”
