Our favourite cakes from the famous Australian Women’s Weekly Children’s Birthday Cake Book
Children (and parents) of the 80s and 90s will surely remember flipping through the pages of “the best book ever written in this country” aka The Australian Women’s Weekly Children’s Birthday Cake Book. Who can forget the hours trying to narrow down exactly which cake you wanted from the well-loved pages of the cookbook? And then who can forget the look on the kids’ faces when the spectacular cake was finally unveiled?
The classic cookbook first came out in 1980 and sold more than a million copies worldwide. It was re-released four years ago so the kids of today’s generation can experience the wonder and excitement of these magical cakes.
