Ben Fordham recently revealed that his three young children are all big fans of Sir Elton John during a radio interview with the legendary pop star.

Speaking to Sir Elton on 2GB about his new The Lock Sessions album, which features the phenomenally popular remix ‘Cold Heart’ with Pnau and Dua Lipa, Fordham told the beloved singer that his kids Marigold, Freddy and Pearl all love the modern version of the song – which is a mix of three classic Elton John tracks.

“I’ve got three children who are all under the age of six, to have them in the back of the car saying, ‘put Cold Heart on’. I mean, it’s a surreal experience,” Fordham said.

The radio host even went on to say that his children even request the catchy song while riding in the car.

"To be able to meet the request of my children in the back of the car, and to play it! And it's got the Aussie link with Pnau," he added.

During the on-air chat, Sir Elton, 74, told Fordham about his love for Australia and how he plans to visit again next year with his own two sons, Elijah and Zachary.

"My family and I will be coming to Australia for Christmas in 2022," Sir Elton revealed.

“My boys have fallen in love with Australia, we’re coming back for a holiday and even maybe, I might do a couple more shows there”.

The song scored number one on the UK singles chart – a first for Sir Elton in 16 years – with the single ‘Cold Heart (Pnau Remix)’, which includes reworks from three of his original hits, ‘Rocket Man’, ‘Sacrifice’ and ‘Kiss the Bride’.

In sadder news, however, Sir Elton announced in October that he would be postponing his upcoming UK and European tour by two years due to a hip injury he suffered when he “fell awkwardly”.
