“I legit thought this was Steve”: New snap of Robert Irwin shows uncanny resemblance
Robert Irwin has shared a snap that made fans do a double take.
The son of the late Steve Irwin took to Instagram on Tuesday to post a picture of him snuggling into a koala perched on his arm.
Fans were quick to point out Robert’s resemblance to his father.
“Did anyone else think this was Steve at first? Beautiful moment captured,” one commented.
“I legit thought this was Steve,” another wrote.
“You look so much like your dad in this picture. You and your family are wonderful!” one added.
Robert’s picture was taken at Australia Zoo, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. The Queensland wildlife park was first established by Steve’s parents Bob and Lyn Irwin as the Beerwah Reptile Park.
This is not the first time the 16-year-old wildlife conservationist has made an impression with his likeness to the late Crocodile Hunter.
In July last year, Robert honoured his father with a recreation of Steve’s iconic photograph from 2004.
Since Steve’s death in 2006, Robert has continued to honour his legacy through conservation efforts with sister Bindi and mother Terri.
