Rod Stewart celebrates birth of fourth grandchild
Rod Stewart has started the new year with some heartwarming news, as he welcomes his fourth grandchild.
The rock star's son, Liam Stewart and his wife Nicole, who already share 21-month-old son Louie together, took to Instagram on Monday to introduce the latest addition to their family - an adorable baby girl.
“Elsie Skylar Stewart. Our sweet little pea born 03/02/25,” the couple wrote, with a series of sweet photos from the hospital.
In one photo, Liam beamed as he posed alongside his wife who was cradling their newborn daughter and their son on her lap.
Her name is a heartwarming tribute to Rod's mother Elsie Gilbart, who died in 1996 at the age of 91.
Rod's ex-wife and Liam's mother, Rachel, took to the comments to gush over her grandchild, writing: "I can't wait to meet you. Bursting with love."
The rock star's current wife, Penny Lancaster, commented: "So adorable, can't wait to meet Louie's little sister Elsie."
Rod's model daughter Ruby also commented saying: "Welcome to the Stewart family Little Elsie!"
Liam and Nicole welcomed their first child, son Louie, in May 2023.
The singer previously shared a photo of the moment he met Louie, with the caption: ‘Happy Grandad.”
