Sam Mac announces joyous family news
Sunrise weatherman Sam Mac has shared the happy news of the birth of his second child with partner Rebecca James.
The couple shared an adorable photograph on Thursday, with the pair cradling the newborn infant and announcing they have another daughter.
In a lengthy Instagram caption, Sam Mac shared his new daughter's name and details of her birth.
“It’s a girl again! We are absolutely delighted to welcome Mabel August McMillan to the world (born last night 14/8/24),” Mac wrote.
“It’s my destiny to be surrounded by beautiful women! A stark contrast to my high school years.”
"I’ll share more details soon, but Bec was our warrior yet again, Mabel was deliciously chunky & chilled & now we take a collective breather before Hurricane Margot passes through to meet her baby sister later tonight."
He ended the post by thanking Rebecca's doctors and birthing team at the Prince of Wales hospital in Sydney.
The couple also share Margot, who was born in September 2022.
Sam and Rebecca made the announcement in February, they were expecting their second child — calling it “round two” for the family in an Instagram post.
“’Baby Mac’ (the sequel) premiering this August 2024,” he wrote on Instagram.
“Starring Margot as the big sister.”
The announcement came alongside a photo of the excited family, with Margot showing off her mum’s baby bump as Mac shared a sonogram of the new bub.
