Serpent season: Woman discovers snake where she least expected it
A metre-long snake has been found taking shelter in the kitchen stove top of a northwest Adelaide home.
The discovery was made after the Semaphore woman came back home a little after midday which is when she spotted the eastern brown snake make its way past her on the kitchen floor.
She immediately rang a snake catcher who found the reptile coiled around wires in the kitchen stove.
According to experts, snake sightings will begin to increase as the weather warms up, with spring being the time the serpent’s mate.
If you see a snake on your property or in your home, it is urged to contact a catcher immediately and not try to handle the removal yourself.
