Cherry Pie
Try out this delicious, easy dessert classic yourself to bring sweetness and colour to your tabletop.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of sugar (adjust according to the sweetness of your cherries)
- 4 cups of sweet cherries, pitted
- ¼ cup of flour
- ½ teaspoon of cinnamon
- One double-crust pie crust
Method:
- In a large zip-loc bag, add cherries, flour, sugar and cinnamon and toss.
- Preheat oven to 220°C.
- Place pastry in pie pan. Add tossed filling.
- Place top crust over pie. Cut ventilation slits and flute pie edges. Bake for 25 minutes.
- Reduce heat to 175°C and bake for an additional 25 to 30 minutes.
- Let cool – length of time with depend if you want to serve warm or cool. Cut and serve.
