Cobb salad

Cobb salad is an American recipe dating back to the 1920s or 1930s (like most recipes, there’s slight dispute over who invented it). It’s often eaten as a main meal, and will vary slightly wherever you go. But here’s our take on this delicious, filling salad.

Ingredients:

Method:

  1. Slice your chicken breast in half to make two thinner pieces, then cook in a medium-sized fry pan (you can marinate your chicken if you wish, or leave plain). Once it is cooked, leave it aside for a few minutes and then slice to desired size.
  2. Slice your bacon rashers and cook them in the same pan as the chicken.
  3. Quarter the cherry tomatoes, slice the avocado flesh, dice the onion, peel and slice the boiled eggs, and tear the lettuce leaves.
  4. Place the lettuce in a large bowl and then arrange the rest of your ingredients on top in clumps. Crumble the fetta over the top and drizzle with your favourite dressing.
