Cornish pasties
Timeless Cornish pasties are delicious at the best of times, but when they’re fresh out of your own oven and topped with a generous dollop of homemade sauce, they’re delightful.
Ingredients:
- 350g rump or scotch fillet steak, diced
- 1 turnip, peeled, diced
- 1 carrot, peeled, diced
- 1 brown onion, chopped
- 4 sheets ready-rolled shortcrust pastry
- 1 egg, beaten
- Homemade sauce of your choosing, to serve
