MasterChef contestant’s hilarious dirty gaffe

MasterChef’s Ben Ungermann could never have prepared for what judges would say to him when he dished up his “ice cream for breakfast” meal on Sunday night’s episode.

The contestant didn’t seem to notice a very rude detail, but it did not go over the head of judge Jock Zonfrillo who pointed out that the two perfect scoops of ice cream and the wafer stuck perfectly in the centre had a phallic shape.

"So, this is ice cream for breakfast,” Ben said when he was called to present his dish.

Jock replied, "It does look like something that you would have in the morning," which caused the entire room to erupt in laughter.

Jock was not the only one who seemed to notice the rude detail as judge Melissa Leong added, "Oh, I'm glad I wasn't the only one that saw that. Did he do that on purpose?"

Jock continued, "Is that why you're called Big Ben?"

The jokes didn’t end there, as when the judges tasted the dish, Jock said it was a "little bit stiff".

The hilarious gaffe follows after Channel Ten confirmed Ben parted ways from the show during filming after being arrested over a personal matter that has not been revealed.

The Daily Telegraph reports contestants were told by Endemol Shine that Ben left "for personal reasons" but were not given any further information.

A representative for Endemol Shine said in a statement, "We can confirm Ben Ungermann has left the MasterChef Australia competition."

"As this is a police matter, we will not be making further comment."

According to New Idea, the show's editors were reportedly told to "cut [Ben] out the best you can".

"No one could have imagined something like that would ever happen,” Channel Ten bossed said of the incident.

Ben addressed this when a fan commented on his Instagram, "I'm actually devastated. How do they edit you out?"

To which he responded, "That's up to MasterChef Australia. Appreciate the support."

In another comment, a fan wrote that he’d heard a rumour that Ben had been kicked off the show due to a police incident, however the chef responded to the rumour writing: “Don’t believe everything you read guys”.

It is not clear as to whether Ben left voluntarily or not.
