Mulled wine
Warm up on cool nights this winter with this delicious and super easy, fruity mulled wine recipe.
Ingredients:
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- ¼ cup of caster sugar
- 10 cloves
- 1 nutmeg, roughly grated
- 2 cups of water
- 1 orange rind, roughly grated
- 1 apple, chopped with skin on
- 750ml of a fruity red wine
Method:
- In a large saucepan on medium heat, heat orange rind, apple, water, nutmeg, sugar, cloves and cinnamon together.
- Once brought to a boil, reduce heat and allow to simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
- Add fruity red wine and allow to simmer for five minutes more.
- Strain and pour into glasses. Serve hot.
