Turkey burgers
A tasty alternative to regular hamburgers, these turkey patties are great if you’re trying to cut down on red meat, or if you’re just looking for something a little different.
Ingredients:
- 500g turkey mince
- ½ cup bread crumbs
- Half a brown onion, finely diced
- 2 tablespoons tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- Fresh black pepper to taste
- Burger buns
Method:
- Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl (best to put on some gloves and get your hands in there for this one).
- Shape into six even burger patties.
- Fry the patties in a frying pan for about five minutes on each side, or until lightly browned (you could also cook them under the grill).
- Lightly toast buns under the grill.
- Serve patties on the buns with your favourite burger toppings.
